  Even though I recently closed the card. I am guessing it was because it was a finder promo.
  Received the gift card email today. Claimed the amazon gift card and I have not been charged the annual fee. Nothing like FREE $500. (Got another from the Citibank offer too)

    Unfortunately the paltry amount (a little over 2,000) of ANZ Rewards Points seemingly can't be redeemed for anything. Not even a charity donation, which is ridiculous.

    Velocity Points conversion would have been useful (and possible with a minimum of 2,000 points) but:-

    ANZ has paused the option to transfer your ANZ Reward Points to Velocity Points. We hope to bring this option back to you soon.
