Pharmacy Health, Diarrhoea Relief 20x Capsules $4.99 Delivered @ PharmacySavings (Imodium Generic)

relief

OK……..So a few Ozbargainers have contacted me asking for a deal on Diarrhoea Relief tablets……yes really.

This really is the product, you don't want to buy, don't think you need and then a day comes and you really wish you had it !!

I came up with a really witty pun filled description and mini comp for the best post comments, but when I ran it past a mod, he/she suggested it would breach (multiple polices) which naturally would get me thrown back in the naughty corner or worse. So the comp is out - but I'm still here for the comments !

So a few Ozbargainers have contacted me asking for a deal on Diarrhoea Relief tablets

Too many Domino's Pizza deals 😂

As a clinician, I certainly hope those that need multiple packets, have been cleared for use by medical personnel. Otherwise it would probably be advisable to see one first. Just in case.

      • +2

That goes for any of these posts for various meds. "If symptoms persist, see a health professional."

      • probably treating symptoms of IBS.

      • -2

These meds won’t do much at all to harm u unless u start taking more then 10 a day unless u suffer from constipation then I’d worry. Ppl take upwards of 100-200 tablets to get the same high effect as heroine or the alike. It’s just hard to buy that much in bulk XD

$25-$50 of 100-200 is kinda cheap XD

        • Antimotility agents are generally not recommended if you're getting diarrhea from an infectious colitis or certain invasive causes of gastroenteritis like salmonella etc.

          • +1

@BYS2: True, forgot to think/mention that XD

        • The idea is not to keep treating a condition that could potentially be serious without consulting a doctor, hence the advice that if it persists to see one

    • Can confirm. If you throw in a visit by the locum, anti-nausea injection, hospital visit, IV drip, an inability to eat much of anything for 8 days, and the loss of 10kg, it'll be just like old times.

No nonsense name for this product - not even trying to hide it

    • +2

I hear "Shart be gone" was originally considered before they decided on this one :)

Unless you need to go on public transport to get home ;-)

        • lol, even you arent taking public transport, a few less pants to wash is always a good idea

You know, sometimes the mods give me the shits :(

  • +1

After buying the product, you would wish having diarrhea before the expiry date so it doesn't go waste ;)

    • I took 2 Imodium tablets a few weeks ago with an expiry date of 2014. They worked a treat, I didn't crap for a week.

  • +2

Diarrhoea usually runs in the family

    • +11

I heard it runs in your jeans

  • How are these compared to gastrostop/immodium?

    • +1

Imodium is the major brand name of the active ingredient Loperamide hydrochloride, which this preparation is also made with. In a nutshell, it's the same stuff, different name. That's all.

Mrs. C used to work in a pharmacy and used to get super-annoyed when people insisted that Panadol was superior to the generic paracetamol or acetaminophen meds that are waaaaaayyyy cheaper. She gave up trying to explain and just let them waste their money.

      • Ah sweet. Im happy to use generic those were just the brands I knew of.

        • All good. The golden rule is to look for the active ingredient in the small type. The name in big, bold text is usually just the brand. If the active ingredient matches then it'll be the same thing, and if you have any doubt (e.g very similar names but looks like they're spelt differently) then it's best to ask the chemist.

          • @Chazzozz: exactly what i do. my partner gets annoyed i spend so long looking at the small details, but i'd much rather pay $5 for something instead of $25 for the branded

      • Some people (who think they’re rich) have tendency to see the brand or price first to make it effective in their brain.

“A cheapo? No way amigo. My brain can’t process it.”

        What a bollock!

    • +1

      So much this!
Until tap and publicly available water is going to stop smelling like a swimming pool, I will keep buying sparkling and bottled water.

  • Effective relief 1-3 hours ….. I dont know about you all but when I need to go , I need to go right there, maybe can hold it for like 5 mins ….. but 1-3 hours ? Its definitely already ran out on somewhere or on someone

    • That’s why it’s so effective. It works when it’s over.

  • Does this help with relief from the verbal diarrhoea all our politicians spew?

  • +4
