  • These @ $40 vs the truebuds @ $48?

Is the main difference that the truebuds have 70hr battery life?

    • Trueair 2 indicates v5.2 bluetooth versus v5.0 on the Truebuds, but the battery capacity seems to be the main spec difference. The Truebuds listing has a comparison table.

  • These sound really great, but touch controls were quite annoying and I had a few times where they dropped out or just randomly turned off. Ended up returning them - Could just be that I had a dud set though

    • yeah, loved these first up… then they started failing to connect, dropping out, touch controls unreliable… comfortable tho

  • I have these & I also have the Jabra 75T Elites from the QANTAS Points deal (they were $299 retail). I honestly have no issue with wearing either - which is saying something for the $40 SoundPeats. I use them for work conference calls as well, with no issue on either end. Nice & loud & clear IMO.

    • Which one would you say has better mic quality in video conferencing? How big of a difference is it?

      • +2

Not $250 difference. Both have worked great & I have had no complaints from either. When out walking/bike riding the Jabra's win though.

  • Got these a couple weeks ago. Touch controls definitely take a little getting used to, ie how to hold them to avoid pressing. But sound is great and I'm generally very happy.

The mic is only OK for me, sounds like I'm a couple metres away from them when on a call. But from reviews etc it seems like this is an issue with my phone not the headset.

    • Hi. Is there a trick how to adjust volume ? I tap once and the call is disconnected instead of volume down/up. Is it the same with yours? I am thinking my one is faulty unit

  • I ordered the Tronsmart ones from Aliexpress - not sure which is the better option but these seem to have great reviews.

  • What's the bass like on these?

    • +1

I listen to TOOL quite a bit - no complaints. my P30 Pro has Dolby ATMOS & I just have it set on Music.

      • I wouldn't complain about listening to Tool either! \m/

  • This was my first entry into wireless headset that's not some supercheap option from aliexpress. So far I'm really happy with them. My requirements were purely performance from a functional perspective, which was connecting quickly, no drop outs, no dropping out of ear, decent battery life. Overall extremely happy with them!

  • The best AirPods (that aren't Apple) use the Airoha chip.

The latest and greatest at the moment is the Airoha 1562M.

  • I bought truengine 3 se one's and pretty happy with it:)

  • just received mine, I bought them for work, I'm got a plantronics 5200 for when I'm in very chaotic env and something less noticeable and big.

they works great did 5 hours work calls and zero complain or need to repeat, and I was in office with other 3 people on phones.

cons: I hate the touch command, they are useless and too easy to activate by accident, I was removing them and suddenly Spotify was playing loud in office from the phone, better then my other TaoTronics taht launch assistant every time I touch them to fix the fit in the ear

  • It is showing $46.99 now. Why?

    • Tick the 20% off box and when you get to checkout that will be $37.59.
I have a pair of soundpeats truecapsule from a year ago that have been very good. Occasional issue with connection at start up that requires me to put left earbud back in case for 2secs but otherwise very pleased.
Upgrading to these so I can use only one earbud at a time, and to try a semi in-ear for comparison.

  • +1

I found these to be much better than I expected.
    Comfortable and great sound.
