USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter - $15 Pick Up / $20 Delivered (within 3 Hours) @ Apple Store

19

It's one of the best USB C to 3.5mm.

Not much more to say, saves you having to drive up to the Apple store and cheaper then most public transport to the city.

Review showing it's really really good.

Clarification: The Deal is in the shipping price + performance vs other products in the category.

    • All links are to Lightning FYI, this is for the USB-C to 3.5mm.

For my location the cheapest for delivery was VIA apple store, by about 3-5$ when I checked before posting

  • Where's the deal?

  • +2

So now we are posting for each of the overpriced Apple product?

    • +1

      Why would anyone downvote this…

      • +1

        It's all the Apple fanboys/fangirls

    • -3

Not overpriced, very good price for a good USB to 3.5mm adapter.

Look if you don't care about the Audio quality don't buy it, but its the best USBC to 3.5mm adapter out there.

It’s an RRP Apple product buddy. Downvotes incoming

        • Mine broke in 3 months - not physical damage but stopped working. Apple quality for accessories is poor. We all know the cables keep on physically breaking.

          • +1

@bajirao: Yeah I got the lightning one with my iPhone 7 and the cable is so thin and flimsy, doesn’t mean that since it’s a Apple product that it is any good

          • +1

@bajirao: Apple has been the only laptop charger I've ever owned where the cable that connects from the brick to the laptop perished near the laptop end.

Jumped online to look at the replacement and they were overpriced, but even worse something like a 1 star rating with pages and pages of reviews with people experiencing the same thing.

            • +1

@mrbargainz: Yep this has happened with almost everyone! I also had the earbuds die! Not to mention that 2 of my lightning to 3.5mm adapters died!

              • @bajirao: Wouldn't be so bad if they also weren't the most expensive, but clearly that's just for greater profits rather than better products and higher quality materials used!

      • +2

but its the best USBC to 3.5mm adapter out there.

        Lol

        • -1

Agreed, this person hasn’t seen how good other ones are too!

          • -3

@jayboi: Wow if only there was independent reviews on these kind of things, and the OP posted them in the description so that you can read it first before posting!

Its widely known that if you want an basic usb c to 3.5 adapter then the apple one is the way to go….

            • @Jofzar: Cool story bro

            • @Jofzar: How do we know the same is true for iOS and Android? Do you have any tests on those platforms? Because I highly doubt anyone is going to use this dongle on their laptop or PC

              • @Omk4r123: IOS: Its made by apple its designed originally for the Ipad pro. If you have an ipad pro its the easy recommend (only device with usb c from apple).

Android: been rocking it for about 2 years now, no complaints. Its to the spec for android and works perfectly plug and play. You can google and find more info if you want to confirm. Androids implementation of USB audio has always been weird, if you want the most out of the USB handling you can use a third party app called Usb audio player pro as it will force the device to use the hardware volume not software volume.

The only issue with some android phones are is its a bit quieter but I personally find max volume too loud.

  • :( aww i feel for Joffrey! ..i mean JofZar .. his about to get and OzB lesson

    • If misinformed people want to neg its fine, I posted source in the description.

It is the cheapest good USB C to 3.5, Just because its an apple product does not make it bad.

It is the cheapest good USB C to 3.5

Now that's some bulls@#t right there. As mentioned above by @CodeXD, it's available for $14 at Officeworks

EDIT: Also available for $14.99 Delivered from SydneyMobiles eBay

        • @CodeXD linked to a lightning to 3.5mm, its actually 15$ as is standard pricing.

          https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/apple-usb-…

If you can find me a review that recommends anything else i'll donate 15$ to a charity of your choosing.

Please note; I want a reviewer who does actual audio reviews not blog spam.

        • Edit: good find on the ebay deal, couldnt find it and it appears legit.

  • You can get this for about $1000 spending on a plan (telstra points) on telstra store with free express shipping.

  • -2

Why would anyone pay $15 for this when you can get a generic one for ~$4.50 from AliExpress

    • +1

No guarantee that it'll work with your USB-C device.
Eg a $4.50 one may not have a DAC like an Apple or Google adapter which may or may not be required by your device

      From your AliExpress link

      2.Other devices are not supported.
      ( For example: It doesn't work for iPhone / iPad Pro 2018/ HTC / LeEco le / Google Pixel 2 /SAMSUNG Note 10 / Sharp Aquos S2 / Asus ZenFone 3 / Bluedio T4S / All smartphones with 3.5mm jack,etc.)

    • Last and only adaptor for iPhone i bought from Aliexpress didn't even work. Have they improved?

  • third party $5 delivered on ebay… works just as fine

    • I bought a 3rd party one and it only worked for a week, before my iphone rejected it for my iphone7

      • iPhone 7 doesn't have USB-C?

  • +1

This is RRP and better third party options can be found for cheaper!!

    • -2

No 3rd party option is better for the price, the USB C spec sucks and apple is pretty much the only one who does it right at the price.

All of the other ones suck, read the review.

      • +1

RRP buddy, I’ve seen better deals for ones from google etc that will work just as good.

  • +1

    RRP = not a deal

  • How is this even a deal?
Its RRP and shipping costs are not a saving at all.
