Hi Ozbargainers!

We recently received some very limited stock of 4 USA only Pelican Vault case models for a special order.

There is currently no plan to introduce these cases to the Australian Pelican Case catalog officially, so we're offering them at a special price for you guys to offload all of the excess.

These will be purchased in the normal way, directly through our webstore, but only visible via direct link. They will be shipped to you from our Australian warehouse.

Stock is strictly limited.

  • What do people generally use these for? Miniature gaming transport?

I use mine for camera gear (need to get a new one actually) but this would probably only house a few lenses. In the corpo world prototypes and if biochips too. This would probably be a good size for a handgun too.

    • In the States, they're often marketed as pistol cases, but the V100 is roughly the same size as the Protector 1200 and the V200 is roughly the same size as the Protector 1450, ideal for a hobbyist photographer with a modest kit.

I use one for my handgun/s if I am shooting a match interstate/overseas and have to fly.

  • Would be great for camera equipment if they came with dividers instead of foam.

  • Perfect for a gun case. Cheers OP

    • Id fear the neon colours make it stand out too much?

      • Not really an issue in Aus, since it'll either be in a safe or with you at the range

        • For interstate comps does the case stay with you on the plane or go with normal luggage? I suppose im just being pedantic about it, havent looked into it too much.

@Jenny Death: Goes in oversize baggage which means it doesn't just come out on the carousel with everyone else's bags.

Not to detract from OP's deal, but a great alternative is the Nanuk 910. Made in Canada, impeccable build quality, and very well regarded in photo/video/shooting/dive circles.

Black with foam $58.81 delivered with Amazon Prime from the US. (They usually go for $80-$100 on Amazon.)

Size wise the 910 is in between the Vault 100 and 200. I get three Sony AX53s in one, installed an ATEM Mini in another with space for HDMI cables and odd bits.

        Case Internal External
        Pelican Vault 100 27.9 x 20.3 x 11.4 cm 31.2 x 30.6 x 13.1 cm
        Nanuk 910 33.6 x 23.4 x 10.4 cm 36.3 x 28.2 x 12.0 cm
        Pelican Vault 200 35.6 x 25.4 x 14.0 cm 39.1 x 33.2 x 15.6 cm
        • Thanks friendo, the nanuk is slimmer than both pelicans is sort of what im chasing.

        • Agree. Nanuks are great and not unreasonably priced Pelican alternatives.

these are not super big nor deep for cameras. a modest kit as the OP mentioned. camera body and 1 or 2 mid sized lenses. not going to fit a 70-200mm f2.8 well.

However these the V200 will be good for microphone and recording kits.

Also handy for mavic pro sized drones

    • Appreciate the insights, thanks!

Rep, why are there no phone cases on the site?

    • Hi there, sorry for taking a while to get back to you. Currently, all Pelican phone and tablet cases in Australia are being exclusively offered through our partnership with JB Hi-Fi

  • Thanks OP. Bought the V200. Will be good for safely putting my camera bodies in luggage. Good price - nice colours too!
