After activating the bonus, buy your gift card via this link. There's currently 40 to choose from.

$5 Bonus Promo Terms:

  • To be eligible for the AUD $5 bonus, first activate the promotion via the main link in this post, then shop as normal via the Gift Cards Portal on Cashrewards.

                @pluto: Right I gave up as reps here don't even seem to consider this a real issue as seen by the lack of response plus cashback can't be used to pay plus shopback has been giving a lot more bonuses than this. Only good here is that this gift card portal in not app only like shopback

      That doesn't sound PCI compliant…

      Is it the site that's remembered it or your browser (not supposed to store the CVV but I'm guessing they just haven't set up the form field correctly so the browser is remembering it?)

    Sorry slightly off topic here. Does anyone know how to add eBay giftcard to your account when you’re not using it yet. Amazon lets you load your giftcards and store the details in your account. But for eBay I found that if I don’t use (part of) the GC, the details disappear the next time I log in to eBay. Find that annoying coz I’ve got to keep track of the GCs that haven’t been used. Thanks

      The only way is what you've explained, need to purchase something using the gift card to lock the gift card to your account.

      It really is a total cluster `^ with refunds appearing and disappearing across multiple accounts making it a pure nightmare with which card is associated to each account as well .
      It it a deliberated ploy by Ebay to profit more from unused gift cards .

      just save the code in an Email in your "Drafts"
      so that one day, when you need to use it,
      just copy/paste from that Email into your eBay payment page.

      you can't attach gift cards to your eBay account.
      you only use the giftcard (code) at the time of purchase.

    Still getting screwed over at the preauth stage. Tried to contact them last time and I've got to sign up for online banking or it's a no go.
    For $5, it's not worth the hassle.

    Edit: just remembered TCN cards don't have to go through this rigmarole. Thanks TA, worked that way.

    When I tried to use the gift card on ebay it ask for card number and pin. But on the gift card there is no pin. Anyone know anything about this.

    is there a way to "unlink" the gift card from TrueRewards after the purchase ?

    this sounds like everyone is getting "paid" AU$ 5 , to give TrueRewards their Credit Card details

          Second time I used it they just asked for CVV .
          I guess you want to go through the 4 digit verification code every time with this merchant .
          Why be so concerned when the security is there ?

    Just received an email confirming my bonus is on it's way, definitely a great feature for these bonuses to confirm it tracked.
