Season's greetings to all. 3 big deals for Boxing Day 2020:

Not only are we under the various PCPP pricing for each, you can also effectively get a further $150 off the first two systems (effectively $1498 and $1698) as they are officially included in MSI's AU Powered BY MSI promotion, where in buying a prebuilt PC with an MSI Case, GPU and motherboard you can claim a $150 eGift Card via redemption from MSI! Instructions are on the MSI website, but once you receive your paper invoice along with your system, you can submit it to them along with the serial number (read off your GPU) to claim the gift card. If we don't show up on the list of vendors yet, don't worry, we are locked in.

There are relatively fewer upgrade options available due to either supply, or upgrades that would disqualify the system from the promotion. If it's not listed on the site, it's not an option for these deals. Note: Adding a liquid cooler to these builds does NOT entitle you to the $250 gift card, because we are not using MSI coolers.

You'll see the landing page has a different code - use these ones below which are exclusive to OzBargainers.

Build times: We have worked directly with MSI and their distributors who have confirmed the stock for these deals to come in throughout January, so the onus is on them as much as it is us to deliver on time. We are also expecting and prepared for a large number of orders for all of these systems, so the expected shipping times are from the middle of January onwards and therefore may exceed the regular estimated 14 business days. Our website states this, and you are acknowledging this by purchasing these deals.

Existing orders: We're currently working through the finalising the remaining:

  • RTX 3080 [Pre-Order] GPU system orders placed in November and December
  • BF/CM RX 5700 XT and RTX 3070 deal orders
which will have absolute priority once assembly resumes on Tuesday 29th December. We are only not working on public holidays; otherwise it is full speed ahead. Customer Support will be attending to email support full time from Monday, so please bear with us during this period.

Pretty sure that covers it! Cheers

Luke

  • Tried to claim the black ops code from gigabyte about 5 times and I never received it. Not a great loss as it apparently sucks.

  • hey luke, will there be any deals on pcs with worse specs (gtx 1660 super, rtx 2060) as these new pcs are way above my budget.

    • +1

It's actually incredibly difficult to get our hands on enough "budget" GPU stock as many are going end of life. If we can, we'll post something.

    • I think a lot of those went during Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

The only place where I've found systems with those types of video cards and in the lower price bracket that you may be after, has been BPCtech

I was about to buy one of their systems until I came across the Techfast ones during BF/CM.

      • would you recommend buying from BPCtech? i've never heard of them before

        • They've had a few deals posted here. I think they're a fairly big outfit so you should be alright.

  • This MSI cashback would have been nice to know about for the last 3 deals, especially since they fall within the promotional period…

If I upgraded my case to the MSI one for $39 I would have been eligible (I upgraded my mobo to MSI one already, and GPU was MSI too).

Especially since the stock techfast case is subpar quality too, it adds extra sting… :(

    • Only just found out ourselves as part of negotiations for these deals.

Hi Luke, I’ve placed an order a month ago and the support is telling me that they don’t even have an ETA on when my computer will be shipped! I would expect it to take longer due to covid, but not even being able to tell me when the computer is going to be ready is disappointing. Can you guys at least offer similar parts for things that run out of stock? Is there anything you can do to help me?

    • The ETA for anything from Nov/Dec is looking really good now we have a clear picture of what did/didn't ship pre-Xmas and stock info we received late in the week, that the CS guys wouldn't have seen yet. I can't
be specific without order details but don't be concerned, although we didn't ship everything pre-Xmas we are setup to do so ASAP upon returning.

  • Have a Suprim Xmas Luke :)

    • 👏

  • Hi Luke, looks like a great deal have just submitted my order :)

Look forward to it and Merry Christmas!

    • Thanks, and you too!

Ordered - not sure wifi upgrade makes sense though (X570 - A is $259 and tuf is $359? Upgrade is $200)

    • Interested to know why this is the case too.

      • Has been explained before, upgrades include labour cost to install.

Hi Luke, on the MSI website, it says only the AMD Ryzen 3700x, AMD Radeox 5700XT is available at the moment for redemption when bought from Techfast from 20th November. The new deal listed isn't listed as available for redemption at the moment. just wondering about the MSI $150 e-gift card redemption. I bought the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X bundle in the Black Friday deals and I upgraded to the MSI RTX 3070, B550M Pro-VDH wifi motherboard and the case to MSI MAG Forge 100R case. Would I happen to be eligible for the $150 redemption since I did buy a MSI graphics card, motherboard and chassis (case) in the promotion period?

Pretty sure I replied to this over the weekend but it doesn't seem to have posted sorry. We're a participating vendor, and my understanding is that any system with the 3 MSI components should be valid - try submitting and see!

  • My budget for a new PC is around $1300, I'm waiting for a similar deal below to come out but don't think it will.

I'm currently rocking a i7 4770 and very close on making a decision just to upgrade my video card from 1050ti to 1650 and using that combo till 2022 and upgrade my whole system then. Thoughts??

    • 4th gen i/e3 v3 can have an extra 0.4ghz overclock on b85 (need bios changing) and above. For gaming above 2k there would be slight difference between 4770 and 3600. You might like to sell you 1050ti for $90-120 (as 1060 is like $140-150) and spend $780 on a 3060ti or $950 on a 3070.

      • I have a SFF machine, so can only get low profile cards thats why I mentioned 1650

I want to game on 2k but not above it.

Are you saying my CPU is still good??

  • +1

Hi, Luke, is 750W PSU enough for 5800x+3080 deal if I overclock CPU and RAM?

    • I can't comment on anything OCing but the power draw versus wattage rating is sufficient at the base specification.

  • Can we have the hardware shipped unassembled?

    • +1

Yes comment unassembled in purchase order

    Hi Luke,

Is it possible to get the 3070 system but with the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X instead?

    • No stock available at this time, sorry.

  • Hi Luke, If I order the 3080 deal today, what is the estimated date that you can post it? Do you have 3080 cards in stock RIGHT NOW that you can use for that deal?

    • The timing detail is in the long post, but dispatch is estimated from the middle of January onwards.

      • +1

        How about any B550s?

Also what are the likely AIOs with the Ryzen 7+?

  • Hey guys question concerning new post deal Ryzen 9 5900X | RX 6900 XT 16GB OR
    Ryzen 7 5800X | Galax RTX 3080 10GB ?

  • I am actually interested in 2. But is it possible to swap some components? I prefer to have B550, 1TB NVMe SSD, and a 750W PSU? I wish to try gaming at 4k so I would need some 100W extra power I reckon.
    Thanks.

    • +1

We don't have any MSI B550s but do have other brands so yes, it is possible but they would not qualify for the $150 gift card. If you're OK with that please email [email protected] and I can get you into a B550. The other two upgrades are possible just using the system builder on the website.

      • Thank you Luke!

  • Hi, Luke, I just ordered 5800x+3080 deal. I will move house at the end of Jan. If it is still not dispatched at that moment, can I change the shipping address then?

    • +1

Yep you can, please email [email protected] with the request so the team can handle for you.

      • Thanks Luke. And another questions is will components in all boxes come with the parcel, like M.2 screws, as I have a NVMe SSD to install by myself. And could you install ax200 WiFi 6 driver for me, cuz my room only has WiFi.

    Hi Luke,

It's been over 5 weeks now and I'm still waiting to locally pickup my black friday order for the Ryzen 5 3500X | RX 5700 XT deal (I ordered this on 25/11). Just becoming concerned that something may have gone wrong with my order because 5 weeks minimum seems like an unusually long time.

Also, seeing as the 3600 is being put in other deals, is there any possibility of upgrading the 3500x to this? And if so, what would be the cost?

    Thanks,

    Yani.

    • Hi Yani, it's been ready to collect for quite a while and the team have emailed you about it, perhaps it went to spam? If you enable PMs I can send you the details so you can collect Monday.

      • Ok, awesome. Must have gone into spam… I'll check it out. I've also turned on PM now. Cheers Luke.

      • +1

Can't actually find the email. Don't know what happened. The last one I can find is on the 16/12 which told me that they were waiting on more 5700x's.

  • Did MSI end up fixing their subpar VRMs on the 3070s?
