Seems like a great price for a laptop with a 10th gen i5 processor, 16GB RAM and QHD display to boot. 8GB version looks to be priced at $1,319.00 on Lenovo site.
Obviously may be warranty issues to consider when buying from Amazon US, and included charger will have US plug, but looking at unboxing videos on youtube, all you should need is a standard cloverleaf power cable to plug into the included power brick. (like this) Full specs below.

  • Does over $1000 attract import duty?

    • +1

Found this info on Amazons "About Import Fees Deposit" page.

At checkout, Amazon Global Store will provide you with an estimate of the taxes, customs duties, and fees which may apply to your order and undertake customs clearance on your behalf.

When checking out though theres no Import Fees Deposit added, perhaps because the laptop is only $923.40 before GST. Not 100% sure.

      • Thanks

That price is the delivered inc GST price not sure it will attract Duty given the pre gst price

Similar to the Lenovo Ideapad 14-inch i5-1035G1/8GB/256GB SSD for $797 at Harvey Norman.

Obviously this one has double the RAM and double the HDD but that's a very competitive price.

And screen resolution 2560x1600 vs 1366x768… almost the same otherwise, yep.

      • The guy got it so wrong it's pretty funny.

just a reminder here that Intel CPU SKU's that don't have "G" in them are not different in manufacturing process or graphics from 7-8 gen CPU's

therefore 10210U is not truly 10th gen Intel CPU:
    - "14++" nm process, not 10nm
    - still old 620 Intel graphics

its true 10th gen sibling i5-1035G1 offers 10nm process, faster RAM support, faster graphics and a number of other improvements

Intel should really be punished for confusing consumers about their products, because some of its 10th gen CPUs are nothing but rebranded and very incrementally improved 8th gen CPU's

      yes I concur, bought a 10th gen I7 10510u and I felt robbed

    • How else do you hide the fact you can't FAb at 10nm

    • -2

because AMD naming is so much better? lol

you people obsessing too much on this 14nm without even knowing what it means

      • +1

you are assuming I don't know what 14nm means without knowing whether I know what it means or not

        I do

        • And I'm assuming that based on this assumption they assume they know just enough to call you out on what they assume is you assuming you know something when they are assuming you know nothing.
That was my best assumption attempt 🤣

Better off getting the ryzen 4800u version with lenovo education + cashrewards + coupon for 1081$

  • How does one get additional warranty for these?

  • +1

they finally putting 2k displays instead of useless 4k ones

  • How many nits of brightness does this display have, 300 nits like the AMD version?

    • 13.3" WVA LCD with LED-Backlit QHD (2560 x 1600) Display, IPS 300nits Glossy, 100% sRGB

  • I can't see if it has SD card slot. Anyone know? Cheers
