  • Merged from A Couple Questions about YouTube Premium Argentina Sub

    Hello Ozbargainers,
I have a couple questions about This YouTube premium via Argentina deal
Has anyone tried getting it with a NAB debit card? Was there any international fees and how much did it turn out to be in the end after the conversion?
I have a NAB debit card and want to know.
Also want to get a single subscription. Would my account run into any problems or get banned?
Also would hola browser VPN work good for the setup of the subscription?

    TIA

      Maybe try ArgBargain.com.arg?

not to be confused with the pirate version arghbargain.com.argh

    • I use ING and get refunded the international fee. Even if you don't get a refund, the fee is usually around 3%. On a ~$1.90 payment that's nothing.

I have been on Argentina Youtube for 5 months and no problems so far. What's Youtube going to do? Kick you off the platform? Meh. Just create another account.

You need an Argentinian address. There are online address generators to help you with that. I used NordVPN to get an Argentinian IP for sign up.

    • I've registered through Youtube India premium for over a year now. No issues. The only thing I've noticed is that when I use Youtube Music, I get the Indian home page.
Unlikely that your account would get banned. Also, honestly, I'd just get the family subscription. The cost difference is negligable.
If you're so worried about Hola, then pay up for Nord, ExpressVPN, etc. They have huge cashback offers. Having good VPN access is worthwhile anyway.

Intl fees are clearly listed on the NAB website. Surely you can do the calcs yourself?

Also why start a new topic? You already asked all this over here

      • I checked the nab website and it says 3% when I went on live chat to clarify the agent says they are not sure about the fees for ARS

        • Nothing to be unsure about. Its a intl charge to your 'credit card', so will be hit with the fee just like any other intl transaction is.

          • @JimmyF: Thanks for your reply, once I get the subscription via hola VPN extension will I have to change my google account back to Australia to use google play store etc? Will my account get suspended or anything for doing this?

  • Thanks for the step by step guide, I have got it set up. is there a time limit for the price ARS $119/Month? 12 months?

  • I currently have this premium in Australia. Can I use the same e-mail address to register in Argentina and then cancel my Australian one?

    • +1

Yes, but do it the other way round. Cancel your Australian one first, and then go and move to Argentina

  • Can multiple people at different physical locations use one youtube account?

    • Think so. A YouTube account is just a Google/Gmail account.

  • Thanks OP!
I've used it on an existing account with family already setup and it seems to work fine.

Once 1 month free trial is over it wont work anymore unless you Argentina CC. Billing will fail

My 28 degrees card was charged $1.74 2 days ago…

      • Did you use your own address or address in Argentina?

        • +1

Argentinian address using the fake address generator that OP listed

          • @J-B: Thanks, did you use your name or the fake name, sorry for all questions.

            • @xioxxio: Used the name linked to my existing youtube account

            • @xioxxio: You won't be asked for name on the card, which is why as jabba100 said, it's just the name on the account

  • its working so far…! omg I can't believe it ahahahah

    • Did you get a single subscription or family?

  • Can anyone comment if Opinion Rewards can be used for this method?
Just signed up but can't find Opinion Rewards as a payment option for future payments.

  • I’ve followed the instructions and keep getting ‘not available in your country’?

  • Followed the instructions and got asked for CFP for tax purposes?

Anyone came across the same issue?

  • Still works 🙌🏼

  • Never used a VPN before but got Nord. Did as instructed and it works.
Will it work past a month though? I used a Argentinian fake address, actually it was a partial address but it was accepted.
