Been gaming on 1440p with a similar setup and it does well in most games. Not getting max fps isn't the same as being able to run the game on decent settings and enjoying it on your 60hz monitor. 4K is where it would struggle.

        a 5600x + 5700xt ($500+$500) would perform worse than a 10400f + 3060 ti ($230 + $770)

the terrible choice here is the financial choice, should perform fine at 1440p

this is ozbargain and this build is of very bad value

        • +1

I agree the base combination isn't optimal unless you're looking for a placeholder GPU until 3080+ become cheaper and in better supply.

The downgrade to 3600 CPU and upgrade to 3070 are options listed on the site in the direction you're suggesting, though, and the supporting part options seem credible.

          • @daffyd: Yeah if you downgrade the cpu to 3600, it's pretty good value

    • +1

I have a 5700XT and play on 1440p at 144Hz and it barely breaks a sweat, even with an older 1700X CPU.

      • -2

People are misunderstanding lol, 5700xt is no slouch at 1440p, it's just that pairing with a 5600x should absolutely not be considered at this resolution especially on ozbargain

        • If you're exclusively gaming, some people do more than play games and the extra grunt helps for other things. You're wrong, stop trying to dig further.

          • -3

@lolmanic: You don't really buy amd gpu for productivity

            • @ln28909: The 5600x is a great CPU for productivity ya chump

Is it possible to purchase without a GPU?

    • Unfortunately no because they are the processors sold to us in trays not retail boxes. Not for individual sale. And the cost price is higher than retail box version.

      • Is it possible to upgrade the RAM to 64GB and the case to ITX with the related motherboard?

    • +1

I'm hanging out for a non-gpu system too.

  • How does this compare to the similar deal by tecfacts with the 3080?

  • Hi Rep, can you give an approx ETA for the Asus 3070 Tuf GPU?
    Asus TUF-RTX3070-O8G-GAMING RTX3070 OC 8G

    • +1

there is no ETA for all ASUS RTX 30 Series cards unfortunately. Very hard to get them back to stock.

      • Cheers

  • is this possible to purchase as parts ?

  • Yes for all other parts except the processor. It is the OEM packaging without a box.

  • Decent Deal

  • Whats the expected delivery date if I order this now?.

    • +1

It will be shipped out within 2 business days.

      • WORKING ON IT ASAP

      • Does your store do afterpay as a service?

        • Our accounting team are still working on introducing Afterpay as part of our payment options. So far the afterpay is not available unfortunatelly.

  • Any chance of adding a 3060ti 3x fan version upgrade?

    • very very limited 3060ti available. talk to our sales please. The reason we didn't put 3060ti version on our website, is because the final price won't be much competitive compared with this system with RTX 3070 version.

      • Is there any options for 6800 XT GPU?

  • How can we avail the $2399 for Ryzen7 5800X + RTX3080 upgrade?

    • typo, sorry about the confusion. should be ryzen7 5800x + RTX 3070. Already updated

  • Wifi compatible mobo?

  • +1

pc part picker list https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/s6BCt8 5600x is nearly $100 over rrp currently though.

    • Motherboard is around $149

      • I fixed it about 10mins ago 1st i picked the non max version which didnt have a price listed.

  • -2

No option to change out of an dead b450 mobo, and an extra 1k to change to a 3080. Yea thats a no from me. Hardly a "bargain".

    • +1

OP says "You can upgrade mobo as well, just need to pay the price difference from our website…Talk to our sales regarding these upgrades please."

I also wouldn't pay that much for a 3080 upgrade but there isn't really lower-cost stock available if you did want one.

      • Touché missed that. Still silly that it would require contacting a sales rep and having them manually adjust it for you. As for the 3080, BPC have some of the highest mark up prices in Aus, and from what I've seen their wait times for stock aren't any better than other retailers.

        • +1

The reason we didn't list the upgrade options is because we have a lot of micro atx size amd chipset mobos to choose from. List them all will be a distraction for customer to choose from. And our sales are very friendly and patient. You are more than welcome to contact them directly. Just give them a buzz:)

  • Eyyyy yoooo BPCTech! thanks for having the strix 3080 oc instock for me to purchase 'off the shelf' without having to do an order and join a queue haha

  • God damn does this mean the 5600x will be back in stock again? Ive had my comp build sitting in the dust since December cause of the bloody 5600x lack of stock

    • retail version is still out of stock. We've heard that this shortage will continue until March this year.

  • Thoughts on whether it's worth saving $160 for the 3600, if I'm just doing 1080p gaming (maybe 1440p in the future)?

    • Depends on the game, but generally speaking unless you really need 200fps instead of 160fps (at 1080p) then go the 3600. At 1440p the difference will be much less as it gets gpu-bound.

  • What brand Video cards are they? sorry cant see on phone with cracked screen

    • We cannot guarantee the card we used so far but our technician reported at this stage, for this system build we are using MSI RTX3070 Gaming X Trio for this graphic card.

      • All good :)

      • What about the 10700k + 3070 build that was posted earlier. Will that have the Trio card as well?

        • -1

What about a z490 instead of a b460 for the same price? Doesn't really make sense to pair a 10700k with a b460.

  • Hi just wondering if there's any option for RGB ram? Why is RGB ram pictured in the advertising photo if its not included?

    • Hi, RGB version is available for 32GB upgrade model. Picture illustrated is the upgraded version. Thanks!
