Is that in the red zone ?

    • +13

The red zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers. There is no stopping in the white zone.

      • +4

Do you like movies about gladiators?

      • +1

Surely this comment can’t be serious?

    • Watch out for the splash zone

  • +2

Magwri you beat me by 10 mins to post this. For anyone considering going in the next 12 months buy these 50% off tickets before 31st Jan. You can change entry date upto 12 months from purchase date making this deal very flexible.

    • +3

You can change entry date upto 12 months from purchase date

      How?

      Post says:

offer is only available when you buy and visit between Monday 18 January 2021 and Sunday 31 January 2021.

    • +1

I’m not sure you can either, as last time they didn’t let me change tickets to outside the promo period during the QBE offer back in Nov, because they were promo tickets. But awesome if you could!

    • +1

Have you tried changing the dates to beyond Jan for this offer successfully?

  • So you purchase tickets for particular day. Now because of covid-19 taronga allow change of date for up to 12 months. All you do is contact them to change date. I've previously done this on a 50% off deal.

    • Wow.. funny cause it's true..
"This will be you in a couple of months"

    • +3

Even the pangolins and bats are laughing at us from their cages…

    • You don't care the inmates are in their own perpetual lock-down?

  • +1

$49 bucks for 2 adults pretty good deal!

    • is it actually 50% off though?

      • There’s a online booking fee I think… lol still a good deal !

  • Can I use Taronga Sydney to Dubbo or vice versa? Planning to visit Dubbo zoo but not sure yet. Thank you

    • +1

Not according to the T&C sorry

      • +1

No need to apologise. It's not your fault…

        • +4

Tried booking individual tickets for Dubbo Zoo just now. Code worked! Didn’t work for Family at first but individual worked out okay.

  • -5

Queue in comments like “isn't the whole city/state a zoo right now?”

  • +4

There is a Return n earn located hear the entrance to the zoo which is always quiet (Mosman who would of guessed right?), So bring your bottles along.

    • +1

Don't forget your 10c on your way out if you buy a bottled drink inside

    • Bring em on the train and ferry, don’t waste petrol and reduce your carbon footprint, the passengers will love you for it to!

  • So can these be used for the Sydney Zoo Blacktown?

    • No separate Zoo. To be honest I wont even go to Blacktown zoo as it is quite small and there is separate charges for feeding animal session. Not lile Taranga zoo where you can relax and watch Seal, Bird show.

      • Thanks for the info. That's pretty sad that they Charge extra for the shows.

        • Seal show seen a few times never an extra fee

      • +1

I've been a couple of times never charged for feeding, maybe it's a new charge.
Either way, it's an excellent experience. Well worth the trip.

  • +2

If it's 50% off, and 2 adult tickets is $88, why does the price only go down to $49 for 2 tickets?

    • $5 booking fee probably…

      • +1

there's no booking fee, they can't do maths.

    • -3

      • Were you able to use the discount for the family tkt? Family tkt is $124.

        • +1

Went a month ago, absolute waste of money right now regardless of the cost, most animals weren't in enclosures due to covid apparently, lots of exhibits closed. Avoid until restrictions are over. We left after an hour with a very disappointed child.

    • most animals weren't in enclosures

LMAO it is like this every time, just this time they are using the “COVID” excuse.

Feels like a waste of money a few times I have been.

      • +3

Interesting - I was there December 2019 and not a single animal comes to mind that wasn't available to see. Had an amazing day!

        • +1

Dec 2019 was pretty much pre covid though..?

    • It depends on the time of the day I guess, usually afternoon is not a good time to visit zoo I heard as it's a nap time for most animals.

    • +1

Best bang for buck is if you live in the North and get year pass for 1 adult and allows 2 kids in for $99. Only 20 minutes drive and free parking. I have friends that go for a couple of hours every so often which is a waste of time, even if you live nearish by. We go for a whole day with the kids 2-4ish. They love it and get a lot of physical activity walking between the exhibits. I go for long walks around the harbour when the wife and kids go in.

      • You should write a blog about it.

    • Strange I was there in October 2020 with the QBE deal and pretty much every animal was out and we only left because the kids were absolutely exhausted!

  • +1

    Bought! Thanks OP!

    • How did ya pay?

      • Probably with money

        • +1

          WOW!

          • @Okayy: mastercard, paid $98.xx for 4 adults + free young kids.

            • @Qwertykp: I got 3x declined different cards, will try again.

        • Lmaooooooo !! 🤪

  • If its good if u r going as single or couple but family tkt is way cheaper at normal price !

  • Tried Mastercard and Visa both won't successfully work =/

  • +1

    Bought tix !! Thx
Paid via Visa card nps !

  • +6

I had trouble paying online. I ended up calling them (02) 9969 2777
Ask to be put through Miss Ellie Phant and she put through the payment manually
    Good service

    • +3

They wouldn’t do it over the phone for me initially. I asked to speak to the supervisor and he put it through. Mr Leo Pard was super helpful. 5 stars!

    • +3

@xc Was it a trunk call?

      • +3

Hopefully she didn't get hundreds of calls from ozbargainers.
Otherwise it would have been a mammoth tusk to put through those manual payments

        • Agreed. She's probably herd about how demanding ozbargainers can be - she'll need a thick skin to deal with everyone.

  • Those facing issues in payment, try the website(link) on mobile, I think the issue is due to re-captcha.

    • Tried web and now mobile, still no luck..dunno what the go is =/

  • Are face masks mandatory down there?

    • +5

Not down there. Just on your face.

      • +1

Thank goodness. Undies on face is acceptable norm too?

  • -5

Nothing nice in there tbh, so little animals. Such a sad place.

    • err, what?!
Yeah Number 3 of top attractions in all of greater Sydney as voted on trip advisor with 4.5 stars from 6,958 reviews - must be terrible!?

  • Any discounts at Tooronga Village?

  • An you get 50% off the entry, then upgrade to an annual for $19?

    • How?

      • Probably helps to not be wearing undies on face during negotiations

        • 😷😂

Day tickets cannot be upgraded against discounted online membership prices (at-gate rates apply). Not sure what that means exactly.

    • The "$19 upgrade" sounds like such an obfuscated bait and switch, especially since the upgrade page linked to by Tomhaigh1 doesn't mention the additonal $20 joining fee.

Website makes it clear as mud but from what I can gather the actual cost is $130 per adult and when "upgrading" your ticket price just goes towards that. Cheaper to buy it outright on their website for $119.

  • +1

Thanks OP, bought tickets for myself and my son.
