Therabody Theragun G3 Massage Gun White $242 Delivered @ Kogan

290
10LESS

The Theragun G3 is ergonomically designed with multi-grip comfort for targeted myofascial release in hard-to-reach areas.

  • 4 easy-to-clean closed-cell foam attachments
  • Comfortable ergonomic multi-grip handle
  • Up to 18kg of no-stall force
  • Releases muscle tension, tightness and soreness
  • Accelerates muscle warm-up and recovery
  • Helps naturally soothe pain
  • Protective travel case included

Depth, speed and force are the key to any deep muscle treatment, but they are most effective when delivered in the right dose. The Theragun G3 reaches 60% deeper into muscle than the average massager and at 40 times a second for greater therapeutic benefits to the body.

A natural approach to pain

The G3’s 40 lbs. of force releases soreness, muscle tightness and breaks up knots without stalling. Use the lighter speed for extra-sensitive, sore areas.

4 easy-to-clean attachments

All 4 G3 attachments are made with closed-cell foam, which is a safer, softer alternative to the hard plastic attachments of many other massage devices. This non-porous material doesn’t absorb sweat, lotions or oils and can be easily wiped clean, so you can recover with peace of mind.

I had no idea my wife had such bad back pain but she's always charging that thing

      • +17

        That was the joke lol

        • Duh

          • +2

@charlie12304: The joke is that the husband is useless in bed so the wife has to just lie there and thus has bad back pain and needs to recharge this device constantly…

      • +2

        Omg (whoosh)

  • I got the joke - and it was a beauty

  • Been waiting for a good deal on one of these. Thanks

any more review from people bought?

    • +2

I purchased this after my Kmart $89 cheapie broke. The Theragun feels like a much better quality unit, has a longer stroke length and better stall force. The quality of the heads is also much better vs the hard plastic. Downsides are that it is louder and more expensive. Also good to have a storage case to keep all the parts together. Happy with the purchase.

      • Should also mention that the design is great. I primarily use this to help with my shoulder after surgery and for post run recovery. The design of the unit makes it easier to target some areas that were more awkward to reach with the Kmart version.

        • +1

I purchased this last night after using the Kmart one for a while and I'm happy reading your review. It's assured me the Theragun will work a lot better than the kmart one.

      • and how about the weight? not too heavy for a lady ? (no pun here, genuine question)

        • How could that be interpreted as a pun?

          • @Lps: sorry not pun but joke, the first post are talking about wifes

        • It is noticeably heavier than the Kmart version but not heavy enough for it to be an issue for my wife or I.

  • Thanks OP, bought one

  • Interested in the major differences/benefits of purchasing this compared with
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/598528

  • I am more curious about thus vs Xiaomi one…
    Anyone got any idea?

    • Xiaomi yunmai is a higher frequency, lower amplitude vibration type device. It's basically a hyperice hypervolt knock off. The theragun is a slower but higher amplitude percussion type. 12mm vs 16mm stroke depth and max 3200rpm vs 2400rpm. The theragun will better simulate the kneading action of deep tissue massage. The xiaomi will be a gentler, soothing experience. Depends on your needs and preference.

      • Wow you seems to be an expert?

  • Thanks! Just got one!

  • Bought. Thank you OP!

This is a great price for a theragun, looking at the reviews and it's very loud.
One thing that is disappointing is only 1 year warranty with the theragun which isn't great for the prices paid.
People have reported good results by converting a jigsaw into a massage gun
Having a quick look at options
    Ryobi one+ jigsaw $119 https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-one-18v-cordless-jigsaw-sk…
    Ryobi charger and 1.5ah battery $79 https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-1-5ah-starter-kit_…
    Massage attachments $10.99 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/193747120702?chn=ps&norover=1&mk…

$209 total price and you get a jigsaw as well, you get 6 year warranty on the tool and 3 year warranty on the battery and charger. The weight is a big difference with the jigsaw 2 to 3x heavier and having to keep your finger on the trigger as well.

    • and what if you forgot to remove the original attachment from the saw…..

      • +1

Well that's just another way to get rid of the knot

    • Mmmm maybe read this review before thinking about the jigsaw option

dont worry we get that you were joking.
no sane person will do that seriously.

I have used a jigsaw for massage for over year, as the handheld massagers were not hard enough. I also have an attachment for my reciprocating saw, but that is way to brutal.

        • Does it work better than the massage guns?

          • @donkcat: yep, it can go from hard to brutal very quickly. I use a Ryobi One + jigsaw with the massage head adaptor from ebay ($16) and it works better than any massage gun I have, both battery and wired. You can adjust the speed with the jigsaw and the batteries last a lot longer.

    • Not sure how many people have used Jigsaws before but they are damn loud, particularly when most of the cheaper brands - Ryobi, Einhell, green Makita - don't use glass nylon which insulates a lot of noise and heat.

Average noise level for jigsaw - 98.5 and reciprocating saw - 106.5db

Also the motors for handtools typically have lots of venting and blowers added because they are not concerned about the loudness of power tools where users will have PPE, but they are concerned about having the cutting surface clean and visible.

Don't forget to use 10LESS for another 10% off

  • Are they offering a full refund if I'm not happy with it?

    • +1

I think they have 30 days return if you are not happy with it.

      • Interesting, theragun say on their website
"We want you to love your Theragun as much as we do. If there is any reason you are not satisfied with your Theragun, you have 30 days to return it with a money-back guarantee.

If you purchased from a retail partner please return the item directly to them."

I could imagine this being a major stuff around with Kogan, but it looks possible to be able to return

        • +1

I would not recommend to buy it from Kogan if you just want to try it out. and nor from their website. If you could buy it from david jones or big retailer like it, return would be much easier.

          • +1

@mmcs: That's true. Myer has the best return policy.

  • It's $549 at DJ. Could be an original brand?

    • +1

I ordered it so will let you know. Been wanting a Theragun.

    • Na it's discontinued stock which is why it's cheap on Kogan, possible that DJ might end up offering a nice discount though. From reading up the G3 is very loud compared to the new model G4, only has 2 speed modes compared to 5 for the G4, G4 doubles the battery life, G4 is lighter.
On another note pretty much all the other massage guns out there are more a vibration type that are faster but not as deep vs the theragun that is a percussion type that is deeper but not as fast a stroke rate.
After all this I'm not closer to deciding which way to go

      • +1

        im still in dilemma too

        • What's your hesitation?

          • @donkcat: i have already, a small one bought around $90… regret….

            • @CyberMurning: Well after a lot of procrastination I pulled the trigger. Really hope it works well now

              • @donkcat: me too, Cat~

                • @CyberMurning: Hey mate, what do you think?
I don't have another one to compare it to so want to know if it is worth more than the cheapies.
I'm still holding judgement a bit but so far it seems to be helping with recovery but might be in my head too.

      • G4 prime is a lot sexier but it's also double the price….

  • Purchased one and it has dispatched, where do we get a tracking number ? I haven’t used kogan much before.

    • youll get an email, and there is link there to track. but you need to wait for a while for the courier to update the status (normal)

      • Thanks mate!
