Ordered at 808 QLD time on the 21st, still stuck on awaiting processing/picking in progress. I have mates who ordered after me and have had theirs delivered, and all customer service is saying to me is "you will get it" but not providing a timeframe or an explanation as to why mine hasn't even been shipped yet.
Super dissapointing, wish I waited another 20mins for the Amazon link 🤣
Just got my shipping confirmation - being sent from BIG W HOXTON PARK with a 2 day delivery estimate.
For everyone still waiting today may be the day. I did send an email to customer service early Monday about the delay and did not get a response, not sure if that was a factor.
@BEPS13: Yeah I too have been informed my ps4 has been shipped, however they escalated my delivery as I emailed about the delay. Mine days 3 days from Hoxton Park!
Does anyone know how BIGW processes these orders? is the stock going to one (or more) warehouse and all being shipped from there? or is the stock going to stores and filled from the store level? I know for general stock it seems to get shipped from a local store, but not sure about these orders. Curious…

Got my PS5 last Monday and when my wife saw it she told me she also ordered one from Big W as a surprise for me.
I have checked our order details and mine was 8:57AM hers was 9:03AM. I ordered mine while I was at work while my wife while working from home.
I told her it's going to get canceled because its supposedly one console per address but she told me it's already booked for delivery and it's true when I checked it.
I've check the address and asside from the Name and contact number being different the address is the same, only difference is my address was "9A" hers was "9a". haha.
Looks like I will be returning the other console or maybe sell it.
Two of my colleagues from work are bit interested but there not really gamers, they are the type who will be okay if they have one or not.
Lets wait and see if the other console arrives.

Just to give you my fellow ozbargainers an update:
I placed my order around 8:565:51 AM on Thursday last week.
Was in Pending Payment for a good couple of days and after several calls the folks at Big W said there was some error and it is just going through a verification with the IT team working on pushing the order.
After 2 days it changed to Payment Received and they said the Order was all good and is just waiting fulfillment with no ETA given the demand. (Bella Vista BigW received payment.)
Was in Being Fulfilled for a couple of days and only just now is being marked as Shipped (Packing Order) and finally received the tracking code. Being shipped from Hoxton Park and I am based out of Leppington NSW. That's about 15 mins away from where I live.

I had pretty much exactly the same experience. Ordered at 8:50AM on the 21st, sat in “processing payment” until Monday. Then sat in “Being Fulfilled” until Wednesday (today) and got the shipping email at 12:30pm. Will take another 4 business days after pickup, so should arrive sometime next week. Was really expecting it to be cancelled after such a long wait, so I’m pleasantly surprised.
I was exactly as you. 8.50am, sat on processing, then went to picking and received the shipping notice in the last hour.
Mine has shipped. Now to ask people around me if they want a PS5!
Yeah, and you'd never scam people and sell it for over a grand or anything like that right?
There are so many people here who just happened to end up with 2 or 3 consoles. If they were morally sound they would just take it back to their closest store for a refund so they can resell it to someone else. Instead they all say they will “try and find a buyer”. The vast majority of people who bought multiple will definitely sell them for more than RRP. People suck.
Maybe that’s your perception or something you would do. I know a lot of people genuinely happy to sell at RRP to help someone out.
Nah, I‘ll just ask people around me (mutual friends) if they want it and sell to them for what I paid for it. I am not interested to make a profit from it. Also listing it online would be my last resort as I don’t want the hassle of waiting for someone to pick up or get mugged/scammed in the process.
The only thing that prevent me from taking it back for a refund is Covid as I don‘t want to go to my local busy Big W store and the loss of the paid delivery fee.

8:59am order on the 21st, finally got shipping notification, tracking number and invoice at 9:57 today. Order is still in 'Packing' status so tracking number not yet searchable through through Auspost.
Ordered 8:54am last Thursday. Didn’t get any shipping notification until Monday and still no update beyond Aus Post acknowledging the package exists. Just so laboriously slow across the board. People say it’s not possible, but I can get nearly anything from other companies within 48 hours.
Any updates with Aus Post? Just got my status updated to ready for shipment this morning.

No signature mine got left yesterday but it was a house and reasonably safe. Still surprised that big W went out of their way to confirm it was a no signature delivery for Covid . I have it now. Happy!!!!
Mine just got dropped at the doorstep even though it was signature on delivery and I didn't give them permission to "Leave it in a safe place"!!!

However I just noticed that the order status is "error" so not holding my breath.

Update: Spoke to customer support. They have confirmed a processing error. I also noticed that I have not been charged the first installment via Zip, which is what should happen. Instead I have a $1.00 pending charge on my bank account, which will be for pre-authorization.
They told me they would need to confirm whether the order will be cancelled, and that I would either receive a cancellation email or an email stating the order was successful and shipping details etc. Said this may take up to 48hrs to come through.
Pretty confident based on the above that its going to be cancelled. Will update, when I get more info. Congrats to those who got in fast.
Hmm I have an error message on mine too
For clarity, if your error message is "Error, message not found" directly under the PlayStation 5 console image in the item details section, this is totally normal. I know because my pervious order had the same thing, and I received that console.
The error to worry about is under the order details, My Order section. Directly below the "recipient" should be a "Status" this for me now reads "error".

I just had a missed call, they then followed up with an email (verbatim):
"We are writing you this email to advise that we were trying to call you however we are unable to reach you.
Please be advise that we heard back from our Team and they are currently processing your order and rest assured that you will get your order.
Should you have any questions about your order, please let us know."
The error message in the status field is now gone, replaced by Awaiting processing.

As mentioned earlier, my order got cancelled. I reached out to Customer Service and was told this:
We have reviewed your order and can see that it has been cancelled due to not being able to verify payment information with your bank. Please be advised that you will receive your refund within 10 business days, depending on your financial institution. If there is anything else we can help with please let us know.
Thing is, they successfully charged my credit card. That means payment went through. What payment information are they trying to verify that failed? I don't understand. I'm now missing out due to a bug in the system?
What can I do?
They even charged me twice with 1 order, and that order was cancelled, lol.

Sometimes they get a bit antsy with a big first order.
You mentioned funds withdrawn from credit card did you use credit card for payment directly or through paypal etc.
Have you spoken to your bank or card issuer to see if the problem is on their end.

Mine still being fulfilled too, ordered 8:59 NSW, Penrith area, it's showed on credit card statement as "paid to Bella vista big w", so I think the stock not going to every local store, just one certain store cover an big area, and they get uneven stock levels. That's why someone ordered after 9:00 already received it, we r still being fulfilled here. Have to say big W really sucks
