    • Have you used this one?

This is a weird new thing for me, but I really need something for my calves now that I'm pushing my distances higher for running again.

      • I can't speak for these massage guns in particular but recommend buying one if you are feeling sore from running. They really helped me with recovery before going to bed, one I purchased from AliExpress works well and looks similar.

If you're a bigger person with more muscle then Theragun or similar massage guns are more suitable.

      • Just borrowed a Theragun for the same reason. If it works I'll buy one myself.
Did a 15k hilly run this morning then had a crack at it. Certainly gives instant relief but I'll see how I feel in the morning and after my long run this weekend.
I'll be happy if there's a noticeable difference in calf tenderness with the increased Ks I'm starting to do.

  • This is really heavy and your hands/arms will get tired faster than when using a lighter (and obviously more expensive) model. Good price to see if you would end up using it frequently before diving in for something better.

  • my experiences, bought $60 then bought $120 and now close to buy https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/599257

at the end, wasting 60+120+242 instead of one 242 and happy from the start.

    • So you mean the cheaper ones were a waste of time?

Is it the impact force or something else that makes the difference?

Yeah these cheap no brand ones are pathetic. As much power as those "fat loss" vibrating machines. I just jumped on the Theragun deal and selling my current Aldi one for $60. That's a better value option then this.

        • Thanks for the input. After reading a few comments in this thread and the theragun one I think I'll pinch my pennies and wait for a deal on the G4.

I have thick calf muscles so these lightweight ones won't cut it.

    • I totally understand.
That’s why I’m much more careful with any purchase now.
Get a good one and save money.
Also better for the environment… less things going to the top.

  • Anyone tried the Hydragun yet?
