$50 Referral Bonus for New Customers @ ING

210

Hi all,

Looks like this deal is back again.

ING are running a promotion where existing account holders can refer new accounts and both will receive $50.

Here's the content from my recent email:

What your friends need to do by …

1 Go to ing.com.au/everyday, open a new Orange Everyday and enter (Use referral system) in the promo box at the end of the online form - this part's really important otherwise neither of you will get your reward!

2 Deposit $1,000+ (such as their pay) from an external account into their new Orange Everyday account within any calendar month.

3 Open a Savings Maximiser (if they don't already have one) and make a deposit into this account.

4 Make 5+ settled (not pending) purchases using their new Orange Everyday card within any calendar month.

Once a friend completes the required steps, you'll both receive your reward. But tell them to be quick - they've only got until 31 March 2021 to complete all steps!

Use referral system below only where you will need to enable yourself to receive PMs for this offer or if you need a code it will start a random PM with someone who is offering to refer you.

Referral Links

Referral: random (1139)

Until 31/3/2024, referrer and referee will each receive $75 for opening new Orange Everyday & Saving Maximiser Accounts.

Referrer: Do not participate in the referral system if you do not have a current $75 referral code.

Referee: To qualify, you are required to deposit a minimum $1,000 and make at least 5 (settled) card transactions within any calendar month.

  • My email only had info about the $50 bonus. Not sure if the $100 bonus is available this time but I could be wrong.

If this is targeted offer then you'd better ask the one who send you code for proof of email or else you won't get it. Just so many bad ozbargain member here from the last deal that wasted ppl time by giving out the code despite they didn't receive the targeted offer

  • This is definitely targeted. I didn't receive this email.

What happened during the last promo is that ppl on here giving others referral code in the hope that they cheat the system and get the referral credit despite they don't receive the offer. The result is they got nothing and the person who used their code has to waste time arguing with ING to get the referral credit. They know full well about this when they reply others with their code so no excuse about the system automatically showed the code here.

So as a warning to those who planned to apply make sure you ask those who gave you the code if they have received this offer.

If you use this offer in a manner that is not satisfactory to us or in line with the intent of the offer (such as sharing your referral code on the 'OzBargain' website or other similar websites, or advertising or marketing your referral code), we may refuse to pay the cash reward (including in respect of any or all referrals made in relation to the offer). This includes conduct on your part which is designed to undermine the fair and intended operation of the offer.

This is from a few years ago when ING ran this promo. The first guy who posted this deal at that time got a few thousand from referrals and that has caught attention of ING.

They have decided that is not how they want to run this promo so they added this to T&C. In return ozbargain referral system for ING has been changed in response to this by not publicly showing your referral code but changed to PM for referral code.

          Seems weird to me.
If they want business, why dissuade people from referring others?

          • @seanbaussie: When they have to pay someone few thousands for referrals they may not want it to become like spam or unsolicited post in all the groups or forums I think.

  • Why refer your friends when they have the shitty rules that are making me ship later

  • Warning:

ING may not pay the bonus.

I opened the account last time with an OzBargain referral code & I met all the conditions re: deposit, time since last account closed etc, but the bonus was never paid to me.

    • you can read my post above. The one who sent you the referral code is dodgy. It is a dud code since he has never received the targeted offer.

  • I used to have these accounts in the past but closed them some months ago. Am I still qualified to get the bonus if someone refers me?

    • At the bottom of my email, it says:
"If your friend has opened an Orange Everyday account at any point since 1 July 2014 (even if the account has now been closed), then both you and your friend are ineligible for this offer."
      So I don't think you'll be eligible

  • I just got the email this morning. https://campaigns.ing.com.au/refer-feb
Maybe they’ve sent out a new range of targeted offers..

    • Same just got the email this morning too!

    • I got this today too, it's interesting that the refer-feb page no longer has step 3 like in the original post for Jan (Open a Savings Maximiser).

      • True. I’ve posted a new deal with the updated requirements. Hopefully no one gets confused. Why are they running two different campaigns? Weird.

  • Finally got targeted ;)

  • Yay got the email 40 minutes ago - finally targeted!

  • Not worth the trouble!!!

  • Received my $50 referral bonus today.

  • I got the email today, first time from ING

  • Got the email for new referrals till 30th April 2021

  • I also got the email for new referrals

  • received my referral email now from ING

  • I received my referral email too from ING!

  • I received a referral email 😊

I have received the referral email today. It says "….you could bank a $50 reward - each!"

This deal has been extended to 31/05/2021, however the link is no longer valid.

    • my email says "Go to ing.com.au/everyday, open a new Orange Everyday and enter the code in the promo box at the end of the online form - this part's really important otherwise neither of you will get your reward!"

      • The link in the deal has been updated now.

  • I just got an email today, with a referral/promo code

    • Same here :)

  • got an email too

  • I tried the last $50 deal, and ING never paid me the bonus. I waited 6 weeks and fulfilled the criteria, contacted them, and they tried saying that I didn't use a referral code during signup. Waste of time.

  • Hi OP, I think you should put in bold that the $1000 deposit has to come from an external bank account - i.e. not from another ING bank account.

I went through all the steps and ING told me I was not eligible because the $1000 deposit had came from another ING account. Total waste of my time.

Will definitely be moving banks as ING seems to be losing their touch recently.

  • So if you've got friends yet to discover ING's great value, send them our way and you could bank a $100 reward - each!

Looks like I got a code for $100 referrals.
