Saw this cheap deal on Masterfoods Garlic Salt. Not sure of the expiry date but I ordered 6 anyways since the missus goes through a lot of the stuff.

Signed up for free trial month of prime to get free shipping on this and dodge the $5.99 shipping.

The smaller Masterfoods jars of garlic salt available in supermarkets has dried green parsley flecks in it. This one visually does not appear to have the parsley.

I'll find out tomorrow when the packs arrive.

  I much prefer plain garlic powder, as I use a lot of garlic and would end up over-salting everything.

      Actual garlic is ideal, but the powder is good for sprinkling on takeaway and stuff.

      when smoking meats, the dried is best for the rubs and I don't like using fresh of paste in sous vide food either.

    i pre-salt my steak and let it come to room temperature before cooking, figured this will work nicely for that purpose.
