It is slow when playing YouTube. Ghosting and lag if you do not mind those

Prime is only $7, and delivery fast.

But the Duet is probably worth the extra $70. FullHD and Android support, 128GB.

Screen and keyboard is physically smaller, but no problem for small hands and young eyes.

      • The better resolution probably cancels out the smaller screen

Wish they'd make a larger Duet, great cheapo device

        • Better resolution is great, smaller screen is good if you can focus close. It is only us oldies who want a bigger screen, so we can hold it further away.

  • I've had nothing but trouble with a 4Gb / 32Gb cheap lenovo laptop running Windows that I bought a year or so back. Not enough memory to even update Windows now. Imagine the Android platform is key for these types of machines to work well.

    • No, I don't think these have Android support, in which case 32GB is plenty. (unlike Windows update)
The Duet needs the extra storage for Android and Linux subsystems and apps.

    • Your best hope of making something useful from your windows laptop is putting a lightweight Linux distro on it, provided you don't need any windows programs.

Your other option is a clean install with an up to date windows iso via USB. You will likely need to format the drive the PC. That's how I upgraded my 32gb mini PC.

    • Yes, 32GB is just not quite enough for Windows. But what you could do now, is to try and see how it works as a Chromebook (or the closest free thing to it) by installing the free CloudReady https://www.neverware.com/freedownload#intro-text

Better off to get a higher spec (much higher) ex lease/business laptop for less.
