Local prices are usually around $569 Delivered. Bellfield Music had it last year for $469.

Product Features

  • For Live & Studio Use.
  • MFi-Certified Audio Interface.
  • Stompbox Form Factor.
  • 4 Footswitches & Expression Pedal.
  • MIDI I/O & Jacks for Additional Switches.

Overview

Designed for instrumentalists who wish to integrate their computers and iOS devices into their live setups, the IK Multimedia iRig Stomp I/O is a USB controller in a pedalboard form factor. This MFi certified audio interface provides 5-pin DIN MIDI I/O that connects to Macs, Windows computers, iPhones, and iPads. Atop its four-footswitch layout is a bar for your tablet, so you can see the virtual processing you're using while you play.

The unit provides four onboard metal footswitches, alongside an expression pedal, all of which sport LED indicators to give you visual cues on stage as to what's going on with the pedalboard. Two 1/4" jacks on the rear of the device allow you to connect additional switches for even further control.

The Neutrik combination TRS-1/4" jack provides phantom power to microphones, as well as a Hi-Z connection to instruments. Balanced stereo outputs can route your resulting sound to mixers, PAs, and, thanks to their floating balanced implementation, instrument amplifiers. A 1/4" stereo headphone output with an independent volume knob makes silent practicing and private monitoring a reality.

The unit itself is a 96 kHz / 24-bit audio interface, through which you can record guitars, basses, or vocal microphones. You can record straight to your mobile device or tablet, and make seamless use of IK Multimedia's AmpliTube and VocaLive. Thanks to unit's Class A preamp, the iRig Stomp I/O provides an audio path that is equal to, if not surpassing, most floor processors. Included with your purchase of the iRig Stomp I/O are guitar and vocal processing effects and recording software.

  • How are rubbermonkey like? Has anyone bought from them before - experiences?

    • I was wondering the same thing.
I have emailed them for an ETA from NZ to NSW?
StoreDJ won't match the price, but it wouldn't hurt to keep asking the question.

It also comes with Amplitube V5 SE (Free Downloadable upgrade)
According to musicradar, it also now comes with deCoda.

I've purchased from them before a couple of years ago. Took longer than I hoped for them to ship from time of order but otherwise no complaints.

    • If it comes from NZ does ACL apply with regards to warranty, and do we have to send it back there or to the local address for a warranty claim?

  • This is the only other post on OZB re: RubberMonkey.

If you goto https://www.ikmultimedia.com/dealers/ and select New Zealand, Rubber Monkey come up.

  • Further to this, I sent a message to RM via 'chat' as well as via email. Still no Reply, which doesn't give me much faith. IE I wanted to find out how long it took, and which Postal/courier service is used. I just had a message come back at 6:43 this morning, that they use DHL, and it takes 4 working days to arrive from NZ.

I looked at their Facebook site, and they seem to have quite a few product posts, as well as the odd customer compliment (ie a Printscreen). I don't see many customer responses on their FB site.

Their site looks very professional, and no doubt a clone of the NZ site, however the lack of Paypal, is my main concern.
LinkedIn says there are 28 employees listed (there are about 15-20 profiles on the site).
I was going to use my GO Mastercard, as I have Buyers Protection, but this does not extend to New Zealand.

    • Agreed - no paypal is a big neg in this day and age.
