Highly recommend this toothbrush. Smashes the phillips diamond clean out of the water

    • My DiamondCleans are still going strong, just needing some heads soon but wondering if I should just grab this. Reckon it won't take too long to end up ahead.

    • +5

Couldn't agree more!!! When I look at the bargains posted on Ozbargain there is no wider delta than the comparison between this toothbrush and the Philips Diamond Clean. Someone will post a $200 diamond clean deal and people go nuts for it without realising that there are loads of Chinese brand toothbrushes that offer far more for far less.

I've had the Oclean X (non-pro version) for over a year and it beats the diamond clean (had two over the course of 6-7 years prior) hands down in most areas despite costing four times less. The battery lasts about 4 times longer (although it does start to drop in power at about 65%), it charges about 5 times faster, it has a decent screen that shows you the exact battery remaining and the toothbrush heads are far cheaper.

Despite all of this we will still get loads of people on this site opting to throw away their money on a Philips. Go figure!

      • Hey, so besides battery and price, how is this better than the diamond clean? I generally thought all the electric brushes were pretty much equal so I don't know much.

        • The charging speed and the oled screen are the two other main things. But if someone said to you that you could get two identical devices but one was a quarter of the price then would you really need to know anything else ;)

          • @C0mbat: Haha true that. I've got an older model sonicare tooth brush that I think was around $30 on special. So I was more so wondering if these brushes were exceptionally better or not. Seems like they're fundamentally equal for cleaning teeth.

            • @Sir Flabo: Well that's where it does get more interesting. I'm comparing it to the most expensive electric toothbrush that you can buy. The Philips Diamond Clean. Before I had diamond cleans I was using sonicare brushes for about 12 years and the diamond clean definitely cleaned better than them. While there is debate about oscillation vs vibration the more expensive models clean better because they either oscillate or vibrate faster.

So I would say that this would clean better than a $30 brush as its a low end model.

              • @C0mbat: Thank you for the responses - very interesting

  • I have the non-pro version and wish it didn't have the touch screen. It's very difficult to use. Touch screen is the worst thing about these toothbrushes.
In terms of brushing performance, which is what's most important, I would say it's about on par with other electric toothbrushes. I don't feel it's significantly better or worse than other brands.

Lol love the sensitive bunch on Ozbargain who feel the need to neg because someone hurt their feeling by not praising the product they are in love with.

      • Lol, the irony 😅

        • -1

Do you even know irony means?
If so, I would love to know what's so ironic about someone like me who actually owns and used competitor's products and made a comment based on my personal experience?

          • +1

@keejoonc: You complain about Ozbargainers being sensitive, yet you are being exactly that.

This product is much better than my old dismondcleans (i paid $360) back then. I have used both and am very happy with oclean x pro.

  • Purchased the non-pro version (basically the same) a month ago and highly highly recommend, though would have preferred this due to the colour selection. Good find OP!

  • +1

Thanks OP, picked up some spare heads.

Converted to Oclean after my Phillips Sonicare died during lock down and couldn't be happier with the performance at the price point.

  • I'm guessing this would blow my Oral-B Pro 700 out of the water?

    • No it won't. I certainly wouldn't recommend buying one if your current one is working fine because in terms of brushing performance, it's all about the same unless you get really cheap 20-30 dollar ones from Philips or Oral B.

  • +3

Only 32 different intensity levels? Not enough. Must be garbage.

    • One intensity for each tooth

      • not lost a tooth then

  • I have some spare Philips Sonicare toothbrush heads and seeing if they are compatible on the Oclean? Can anyone confirm please?

    • I did read somewhere that they are not compatible..

  • +1

Is there a big difference with the Colgate one I have from Woolies?

    https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/829190/col…

  • Why does part of me really want this..
If I have no problems with a good brushing at the moment, do I need this?

    • Sonic brushes are great, if you haven't tried already you might be pleasantly surprised

  • im sure i read oscillating toothbrushes are better(if only slightly), does anyone have any good recommendations for one?

    • +2

I read that there is no effective difference observed so far in studies. The super fast vibrations vs the slower (still fast) oscillations achieve the same result. So buy whatever suits.

What I'm not sure about is the difference between base level models and higher level models. Like, I dont care about the various crap they build in about bluetooth etc. But I do want superior teeth clean.

    • I sometimes had bleeding gums with oral-B oscillating one, never with this kind

      • I had gum problems for quite a long time, and my periodontist recommended a sonic brush. Been much better for me, and feels just as clean.

  • I'm tempted to try this out based on the seemingly large number of positive reviews, however it seems like a lot of people are having issues with freezing on the indiegogo page.

    • Just went there to check it out since I've never had the issue and it seems to only be an issue with the latest firmware version.

    • It's good value compared to what you get from more mainstream brands like Philips and Oral B, but don't expect any life changing differences in terms of actual performance contrary to what some people here say. This is coming from someone currently used the non-pro Oclean and in the past used flagship Oral B and Philips toothbrushes.

If you get low to mid range from either Oral B and Philips the price difference isn't that huge and performance wise, they won't be too different.

      • No one has said that your teeth will be cleaner :)

        • So positive reviews relating to a toothbrush doesn't mean it will brush your teeth better?
          Your logic is mind boggling.

          • +1

@keejoonc: Not necessarily. Just like positive reviews relating to a smart phone won't necessarily make phones calls better. Or positive reviews relating to a chef's knife won't necessarily make it sharper. There are many facets to any object and in this case I would argue that if something like this can clean you teeth as well as a device four times more expensive plus provide better battery life and charging speed then it justifies the hype.

The mind boggles as to why you don't get that?

  • +1

    Will it have US plug?

    • +1

It is USB charging so doesn't come with a plug.

  • +2

I think it's cheaper to buy the package "Brush + 4x brush heads" for $10 more at a final price of $59.99

This means additional 4x brush heads will cost $10 instead of buying 6x brush heads separately for $19.99?

    • Any one has experience of using both Oral-B's Rotary motion and Philips/Oclean/Xiaomi's Sonic vibration toothbrush?

I've been using a quite top-end model of Oral-B. It's not bad. Just wondering if a Sonic vibration toothbrush is any better?

      • Sonic can leave you feeling cleaner almost like it does a floss as well.

    • Can you link this, as it says $20 coupon is for 6+ pack?

      • +1

On the Brush page (not brush head link), there are many package options, just select one with additional 4x brush heads.

    oral-b 5000, 2 toothbrushes for $130 from Costco: https://www.costco.com.au/ORAL-B/Oral-B-Smart-5000-Dual-Hand…

Anyone know how does this compare to the Oclean X Pro?

  • Any one has used their OClean W1 Oral Irrigatior https://oclean.com/products/oclean-w1?variant=38611648282809. Please share your experience. Thanks.

    • Holds only 30ml of water?

  • Gave this a go since I've been wanting to try a sonic brush… these brush heads seems expensive tho lol.

  • Showing up as US$59.99 for me

    • See my comment here

  • Keen to order. Can someone advice which brush head is considered "soft" i have sensitive teeth

  • "OCLEAN2020210CD1 discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart" ?
OCLEAN2020210CD1 gave $30 off and expired
    OCLEAN2020210CD2 gives $20 off
    OCLEAN2020210CD3 gives $10 off

    • They must have fixed it, $30 coupon was supposed to be for orders over $89.99 but worked on the toothbrush which is priced at $79.99. You can still use OCLEAN2020210CD1 on toothbrush and 4 brushheads which reduces price to $59.99 which is still good value.

      • Scrap that, OCLEAN2020210CD1 worked after a few tries!
Oh I see, it's because I changed to the 4 head included pack.

  • I'm deciding on the Oclean X vs Oclean X Pro. Does 2000 extra RPM make a great difference?

Edit: nwm, the price is now the same for x and x pro.

  • Highly recommend!!

  • Got the Oclean X Pro through the Geekbuying sale a few weeks ago and it blows my Oral B out of the water. Absolutely love it.

However, does anyone else have issues with the Oclean app on iOS 14? After initial step, mine closes after a second. Have rebooted, reinstalled, everything. App Store reviews show that other ppl have issues too.

Note: Brush doesn’t need the app to function but it would be nice if it worked.

    • What's the model of your Oral B?

      • It was the Professional 5000 with that LCD smart screen thingo. Was getting a bit long in the …tooth.

  • Anyone know how long shipping is?

  • How long does a brush head last? Assuming you don't over press and you're perfect at brushing your teeth.

    • +1

Not sure how long they last but Oclean recommend that brush heads are replaced every 2-3months regardless.

  • has this expired? have just tried to enter in the code but its coming up as not valid

    • Just checked it and code is no longer valid. OCLEAN2020210CD2 still works but coupon is only $20

  • Damn cheap
Yes I have the X Pro bought from AliExpress during 11.11 day and happy with it.

  • +1

Anyone else ordered this? According to the tracking info, mine's been around the world now CN, US and now Netherlands lmao.

    • make sure it goes to quarantine when arrives at your house for 2 weeks!

      • +1

Yeah I'm spraying that package with disinfectants and shiz before it gets inside!

    • same, mines going around the world. anyone received their order since ordering yet?

      • Received mine yesterday! Also i've noticed from the app, it's not really going around the world, it just doesn't know the city codes for aus lol.

  • +2

Ordered 2x sets of brush heads the 4th. They just arrived sometime this weekend.

  • Ordered 6 heads but only received 2. Should I open a dispute?

    • Yes, although may be quicker to contact them first. Also take a picture of shipping label with package weight clearly visible.

      • I sent them a photo of the package . Weight is showing on the package as 0.1kg

        • I reached out to the rep and she will sort it for you. Have sent you a PM if you could reply with your order number I will pass it on.

  • @op any similar promo available to planned for Oclean X Pro Electric Toothbrush + 4x Brush heads in the near future? Thanks

    • The latest deal was marked expired incorrectly. Coupon OCLEANXPRO still works. It reduces the price to $59.99 same price as above.

Thanks, appreciate it, just bought one
