When are they putting it back to $30?

That Sim has just arrived heh

That's what I'm waiting for too :( I cannot stomach 120 for what was 30

I'll even compromise and take 60

    • I totally missed that deal!

      • Most did when it only lasted couple hours from about midnight.

  • Is anyone using Catch in Perth? Bit concerned from the negative reviews and issues some customers have had with the speeds.

    • Sorry I'm not in Perth, but you could get a 1 month prepaid sim and try it out.

Every provider will have similar issues depending on where you are. The best is to try it out for a month before committing for a year. For me, Optus and Vodafone are near non-existent at work so I've stuck with Boost. However, for the rest of the family, they don't seem to have such issues so I just rotate them between Kogan, Catch, Coles or whatever the deal is for that month their SIM expires.

    • Issues?? As in not same coverage as actual Optus or something else?

I'm currently with Optus but looking at reseller like Catch unless an Optus long expiry deal pops up by April

There has been a few posts on the net about experiencing extremely slow speeds. Just recently on the mobile section of Ozbargain forums, there was also someone complaining that the speeds were so slow that regular sites would refuse to load unless refreshed several times. It is sometime I'd like to be cautious about, esp committing to a 12 month plan. Maybe I'll try a one month plan for starters, but only if no one else has experienced Catch in Perth.

  • I was with boost before using the telstra network. Since changing to catch optus, 4g data has been horrible. So slow. Has anyone else experienced this?

    • Optus or Catch as your provider? I know Catch uses Optus network.

    • Same here in Sydney, download speed is obviously slower than boost, not rather horrible though.

  • HAHA JUST activated mine today for $30

For those who missed the epic $30 bargain ….

    $120 for 120gb 365days is still better than Coles $99 60GB 365days deal.

  • Remember unidays student brand code will bring down to $108, gift card could bring down more

    • Still waiting for someone to share the unidays code to me :(

Edit: Got it from a very kind person, thanks :)

  • NETWORK USED IN TITLE;;;;;;;;;THANKS

    • It's already in the description.

  • My Kogan Plan Expires on 10/02/2021
I.e Data renews on the midnight of 10/02/2021

Looking at the standatd shipping timeframe of catchconnect, not sure if I can get the sim delivered ( in Sydney) before expiry of Kogan plan on 10/02?

Standard Shipping: 3 - 8 Business Days: FREE
Express Shipping: 1 Business Day: $9

Should I order using express shipping on safer side
    OR go with standard shipping?

    • Just as long as you can do an SMS to activate the new SIM, unless thats your only internet acess??!!!

Does Kogan still allow you to SMS to port out even if you are out of contract?

      • Once out of contract from Kogan, we cannot SMS

        • With Catch, they will send an SMS to your existing number and you put that into the website when activating the Catch SIM.

Also, you can reply to verification SMS even if your SIM has expired.

          • @lomie: Are you sure about this work.for Kogan?
I think Kogan doesn't allow to SMS once plan is expired, so verification cannot be done. If someone confirm my understanding is wrong, I will be very happy:)

            • @[Deactivated]: It doesn't matter. You will still receive SMS but just enter it into the Catch website when you activate it.

You can only reply to verification SMS after plan expiry. You can't SMS anyone else.

              • @lomie: thanks for clarifications :)

            • @[Deactivated]: Kogan gives you about 2 weeks after your credit expires. You can still receive SMS messages at this time, but you better do it quick or even SMS messages won't be received, which means you can't port out unless you buy some Kogan credit.

This happened to me, and their cheapest one month plan was about $16.95 for 1GB or something stupid. Lesson learned for me. Don't park your sim card with Kogan while waiting for the next deal. For me it was a spare number, not my main, but it was a number I wanted to keep.

  • Porting my number to Catch took 8 days. You want to do it before your current deal expires or you could be without any credit while you wait for the porting.

    • I have ported a couple in my family now and took around 10min.

  • Anyone willing to share a unidays code with this poor soul?

  • Anyone knows how to purchase with gift card? It only gives me the option to pay with credit card.
    Thanks in advance!!

    • Do you maybe put it in as a coupon code??

  • can anyone share the unidays code? thanks in adance~~~

  • Apparently unidays code doesn't work any more because catch connect is excluded now. Can anyone confirm?

    • Doesn't work for me

  • I got a code from my Unidays account and it does not work! Any one has had similar experience?!

  • No unidays

  • With Catch for a year in Melbourne, so far so good~ Going to get this plan again but anyone know a cheap sim to port out?

    • I used Coles mobile for $10 for a month.

    • Kogan $4.90?

  • Anyone know if data rolls over if renewing the same deal?

    • It does not:

Included data. Charged per KB. Unused plan inclusion data does not rollover even if you recharge before expiry.
