      Where do you wear it?

      • +8

Depends on your size, you might need the kids version.

  • Note that it does not have SpO2 sensor even though it is in the title of they product on Amazon.

  • Cheaper on Amazon: if you visit more buying options from $40

Any updates on heart rate calculation when cycling or doing activities?

Mi band 4 was an absolute failure. I was at 146 heart rate, mi band says 64 until I stopped.

Finish a 22 minute routine on 90 kcal because the whole band is based around heart rate. When you've really just earnt 300 kcal.

    • What are you comparing it to?

      • Garmin.

    • Reviews same same as Mi 4 and still not accurate.

    • I personally find it hit and miss. When it works it works perfectly, I go to the gym daily and use the freestyle setting and it calculates heartrate and calories no issue.

Although about 10-5% of the time the UI actually just lags (you can see the timer taking over a second to move) so you'll be working out for an hour and it might only show 45mins worth of exercise. Really unusual and a reset fixes it, plus its rare, but just my experience

This little badboy is thebomb.com , I used to wear this one and a watch, had such a blast that I ended up buying a Garmin 6!

but this one did the job extremely well and the app that comes with it is superb, tho settings are iffy.

Worth the purchase if you're the target audience - not a great "smart watch" on itself, rather more of a fitness tracker :)

I believe the HR was accurate , i wore it on my inner-upper wrist.

I feel the same. I bought one recently for my kid.

I've got a Garmin now (Samsung watch recently died on me), but also have some nice dress watches I like to wear from time to time. I'd happily wear this (for notifications, etc.) when I don't have my Garmin on.

  • The price on this fluctuates a lot. I bought one on Amazon about two weeks ago, and watched the price go up and down between $44 and $39.99 in that time period.

Any suggestions on bands with these, i had one and it fell off in the river - the band seems to self undo and not totally secure.

I bought a few recently for my 6-11 kids, will see if the stock bands are ok for them.

I bought one of these and also a multi-pack of bands for my daughter, and the watch fell off in her first week… never to be seen again.
So I'd recommend caution if you are looking at non-genuine band options! This is the one that I purchased.

…and if you are in Melbourne, you might find my daughter's watch in some random park ;)

Reminded me of my first Mi Band - 1S with a basic removable module.
Coming into the house, I caught the band on the door, the module flew out & a magpie flew off with it!
I've been cautious about using a Mi Band since then.

      • Thanks I bought the exact same band bundle!

It has been a few days OK so far but I am not convinced, I think some sort of velcro one would be good that you can tighten right up but cannot seem to find many.

That's a lot of kids! Also hope that one of them doesn't get rejected from art school

Bought one for a the wife a couple months back at a similar price. She loves it. A lot of bang for buck on this unit!

  • Quick search on price, ebay $20 ali $26. Are those fake?

    • +1

Most likely. Buy only from reputable seller to avoid hassle.

      • +1

Yeah there seem to be a lot of fakes and copycat-look-alikes on the mi bands. I'd only buy from Amazon or the official Ali channels or somewhere here that gets a lot of votes here. And I'd want to pay with PayPal if it's not amazon, and I'd want to triple check they list the brand as Xiaomi. You should expect genuine mi bands to be in the $26 to $43 price range (when on special / deal worthy pricing), depending on how recently that model was released and how close it is to the next model being released (towards the low end only when the next model is about to drop or already has). If someone wants $20 for a new mi band 5 (not released that long ago) on eBay, I would be very very dubious.

  • Just bought one, thanks.

    • have a plus for getting me to go "e-i-e-i-o" :-D

  • picked up one of these in november on kogan for $36.

got it not expecting much too much

to be honest have been more than impressed

very lightweight on the wrist so easy to sleep with

  • Mine arrived yesterday so quick awesome!

It's for my wife she loved the fact you can use custom faces so she's uploaded a photo of our dog :)
