i just got the dell s2721q. 4k on 27" for me is unusable. The texts is way too small… had to downscale to 2k

That was my concern as well so I went the QHD DS model instead.

but 4k displaying 2k, makes everything super sharp.

You'd be better off using windows scaling to increase the size of text.

i have the same monitor and run it at 150% scaling and its completely fine to use. You could use 200% scaling.

changing to a resolution lower than the monitors native resolution looks blurry and is not recommended.

@Laserface: i use mac, there is a display setting to downscale, i dont think its actually setting the resolution to 2k

@SS625: you are correct. mac does rendering at 5k then downsampling to the desired 'looks like' resolution iirc.

so you're effectively using the same scaling as 200% in windows (except mac does it better)

Would be a good deal. If it wasn't kogan

This deal is quite good when you apply it to some bulky items that are sold by Kogan but weren't First eligible.

    e.g. this speaker set: https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/pioneer-speaker-pack-ses3tb-pio...
Was something like $120 shipping to WA previously.

Hmm. The $29 keyboard yesterday today is $69.

Yep I noticed that with some other things - prices have gone up to cancel out the free shipping. Scam.

Quick question guys : is this monitor good for photography? I use lightroom and photoshop quite intensively. I bought the new Mac mini m1 and I need a good monitor. Should I look at a Dell monitor maybe? Thanks in advance for your help

    •

It has 100% sRGB colour gamut which I believe is what you should look for when editing. I use Dell Ultrasharp monitors for my editing personally, however they are quite expensive.

  •

Can any one find any reviews for this? I couldn't seem to find any

  •

The steaming capabilities of a monitor are so often overlooked.
