      Keyboard is working flawlessly?

  • Warranty 12 months for the phone
but 6 months for the battery.

You may want to buy the geniune battery parts now as LG is most likely be existing the manufacturing the phones.

    • How many people replace their batteries with genuine parts?
My V30 is still going strong for over 3 years….Also got a G5 tucked away in case of emergency that would be 5 years old at a guess and holds charge fine.
If I have a battery die, it's time to move on and change phones.

Did you have a bad day mate?

My point was to get ready for LG moving out of mobile phone market as they are not well known for after sales service.

Wow and good for you having V30 for 3 years without having to change any battery - I would assume?

I am just a noob oz bargainer changing phone every now and then - from S8 plus,S9 plus, Note 9, Note 10, S20 plus then S21 Ultra.

Oh wait I did get 50% discount on all of those devices…=) yeap one bad thing working for telco related company. Cant help not changing.

  • So LG doesn't sell the dual-screen for the Velvet in Aus? Can't find it any any local retailers, only one on ebay is direct from Korea.

    • +1

Nope. LG loves to snub Aus. The one distinguishing feature this phone has they decide not to sell. I wanted the better version of this the V60 but they don't sell that here either. GG LG just gtfo of the Aus market then.

  • I remember when everyone's g4 died after a year. We all swore off lg for their pitiful customer service and refusal to acknowledge a huge fault on their part. People forget easily

    • Speak for yourself! 5 years later and I remember. LG never again.

why do people always puts a deal like 60 minutes before it expires?
anyways 6.8" for a mobile is a little on the nano side for me. These days you are not a mobile phone user if your phone is smaller than the published decisions in royal commissions.

    • It's not, updated

  • Rumor mill says LG will be leaving smartphone market in near future.
If you really like LG UI then this one may be one of the last flagship you can buy locally.

it's not rumour if it's true so it is not a rumour. And then of couurse no more support ever - like when I bought Pebble overnight pebble sold itself to Fitbit without so much as given any thoughts to their existing customers and Fitbit killed Pebble altogether.
See that's what customers get for being a fan - nothing zilch.
so no more support for me ever now I jump ship when ever it pleases me and so should everyone. Why stay loyal? you get nothing! nada zilch!
word is the google ban to Huawei has now extended to all the mimis and xiaos xiaos real or oppoo then these phones will become useless already they are quite useless to begin with take google away and it is even more useless than ever,

If you really like LG UI

      So, no one.

  • I was going to get this last month for wifey until I found out you cannot buy a compatible Dual screen attachment in Aus.
Please be careful when buying the overseas Dual Screen Accessory as they may not be compatible as I found one ebay Aussie seller who listed his, because his Dual Screen bought from US was not compatible wtih Aus Velvet! Not sure about the Korean sellers….maybe that's why it was not sold as an accessory in Aust?

Personally, I am still waiting for a v60 Dual Sim cant seem to find a release anywhere……… LG marketing is just useless!
Anyways, for those interested maybe consider the LG G8X Dual SIM with Dual Screen (its basically 2nd generation of LG V50, but 4G LTE without 5g (I dont recommend anyone buy the U.S versions- its single sim and does NOT have Band 28 from what I research) but consider buying the very rare Asian Version with Dual SIM and with Band 28 but no 5g, which a friend of mine has and is very pleased with it. He called it "Poor Man's Galaxy Fold" check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgC71DrCWfk

5g seems over rated anyway for now, as I find it uses more battery and speed gain is nominal increase for me & not worth eating in to my battery life, so I actually switch mine off. Besides I believe 4g+ will ironically get faster when more people use 5g and frees up the 4g+/x LTE bandwith, as it will be least 2 years anyway before 5g is everywhere IMHO, YMMV.

I wouldn’t ever buy another LG mobile phone! Bought an LG V30+ a year and a bit ago and the main camera is cactus. Will not focus on anything and all photos are unusable. Contacted LG support and they messed me around for weeks and refused to swap it for a new one. They wanted me to pay the cost of sending it to their repairer, I flat out refused and they eventually sent a prepaid postage bag. Sent it today so I’m very curious to see what they do from here! I have purchased LG’s high end TV in the past and after this experience I’ll avoid this brand like the plague!
