Any ideas of the product link?

  • Need to replace my old kogan air fryer. Will Kitchen Coulture 12L Air Fryer do the job?

    • I was looking into this as well

    • +1

Why not spend a bit more and get something decent that will have a longer lifespan?

      • +2

        Because I’m a tight arse

        • Hmm, replace cheap appliance every couple of years, or invest in one that will potentially last 10 years…tough call!

          • +1

@magic8ballgag: Was being sarcastic. Hence why I was trying to find out if this was bang for buck? My kogan air fryer has lasted 6 years and I paid $60. To me $10 a year is good for that at the time

            • @bemybubble: Fair enough, that's pretty good value, how often do you use it?

              • @magic8ballgag: A fair bit. But have since slowed down due to the non stick coating wore off and our family has grown

          • +2

Man, everything from eBay lately has been eBay plus only huh?

    • +1

They want the Amazon model of money even if you stop using their services.
Without paypal funds they will force new ways to monetise.

      • Nothing to do with PayPal. They're dropping paypal.

But yes they want your subscription money.

        • With Amazon subscription ($49 p/p), you get shopping and videos. But with eBay subscription ($49 p/p) you just get the shopping.

          • @cheapocheapo: dont forget amazon give you some music, ebooks, games as well

You're so quick, you must be a pro.

    • +14

Don't care. I only recently got a Switch and couldn't be happier. I neglected Nintendo since jumping to Sony with the PS3 and PS4.
But gawd, I forgot that Nintendo still makes the best games, instant childhood memories of just having fun.
Been playing the Switch so much, have neglected my gaming desktop as well.

      • nice. which games are you on?

        • +2

Breath of the wild is my absolute favorite game of the past 15 years. It is simply magical.
The new Mario is fantastic, and playing all the old SNES classics on it puts a smile on my face every time, even with the difficulty of the old games.

      • Been playing the Switch so much, have neglected my gaming desktop as well

Try playing BOTW on Cemu on the PC, if you have it on switch. The better resolution really adds to the experience, and a solid 60 FPS is nice too.

        • +2

Wait, you can play BOTW on a PC? HOW?

          • +1

@he11bent: You really need to try it out. I finished BotW running 3440x1440 ultrawide with 80fps avreage with reshades that makes the game look amazing.

          • @he11bent: Google Cemu

        Tuesday February 23rd:

        Nintendo Switch – $299 – 10:00am/2:00pm

I think what justkev was referring to is that post says 12pm and then follows with 10:00am a few lines down.

2hrs will make a BIG difference to your likelihood of getting one ;-)

Even the original source link contradicts itself in the same way:

But based on all the other days referring to 10am/2pm, it seems that 10am is more likely

    Up from $9 previously

    • I think it was $1 last Tuesday sell

  • Does anyone wonder every time ebay plus release deals, most of the products are not great bargains, there are still a lot people buying into it. What is going on?

    • +1

A lot of ozbers have ebay plus from this deal, $49 for 12 months of ebay plus and $50 ebay voucher. Not every deal is great, but there are some great ones like this.

    • +2

Ebay Plus paid for itself over Black Friday, so any extra sales like this are gravy

    • Earphones or Headphones?

      • They call it both

      • +3

        They are earphones.

        Earphones go in the ear.

        Headphones go on the head.

        It's not rocket science

  • Here for the comments

Still haven't opened the $1 headphones and earphones from last year….

Ebay Plus is practically free at the moment, in fact they'll pay you $1 to take it out.

It's a no brainer if there's something on Ebay for $50+ that you're after.
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/605726

      • The reason I cancelled eBay Plus in the past is because I didn't use it in the year I had it. I mainly use Amazon Prime.

      • +1

FYI IIRC you can't use the $50 and a discount code as the $50 is a discount code not a voucher (I'm saying this WRT the deal we're commenting in)

    • I reckon higher chance than those previous 100-each-drop deals.

    • I think last time people had the page up and waiting and still missed out.

  • Is this the cheapest the Switch has ever been ??

    • +1

I got one for $293 during the Amazon launch promo ,but that was after a bonus 20% cashback.

This has to be the cheapest up front price.

      • 20% cashback? I paid $349 and only got 10% cashback from zippay

        • Over two years ago. Was a Shopback/Amazon promo .

$299 for the 2nd edition is a new low price.

      • The 1st gen?

        • Yes.

    • Is this the cheapest the Switch has ever been ??

Yes (except maybe a few super-low-stock promo deals that might as well not have existed). It's been pretty consistently around $400 since launch, so seems unlikely it will sell for anywhere close to $300 normally anytime soon.

I wouldn't even bank on getting one at this price when Nintendo's next console (the rumoured Switch "Pro", or even an entirely new console) comes out, they way it's price has stayed so high.

(Not that you're likely to nab on in this deal, either, with only 500 units. But I wouldn't wait for a better deal if you really want one).

  • For my sins, I still don’t have ebay plus and I’m an ozbargain regular. I’ve been avoiding the posts. Have I missed my chance or is it still worth it.

    • +4

It's worth it if you renew when they hand out $50 credits, so technically, you make a profit by being a member.

      • Thanks jv, I’m tempted now. Can you spend the $50 on anything, including auctions etc or do they need to be store purchases?

        • +3

Can you spend the $50 on anything

Check the T&Cs because it may change.

With mine last year, it was anything, it didnt have to be ebayPlus only, but it expired in about 30 days so you need to keep track so you don't waste it.

  • +2

This almost makes me want to sign up for an ebay plus account.

      • +5

Except you can't use the $50 voucher for the $299 switch.

        • Wait why can't you use the $50 on the switch? This changes everything :/

          • +3

@Bargain Disorder: Because the $50 is a coupon and not a gift card.

You can only apply one coupon code per transaction. So basically you can't use the $50 with any further discount codes . 😔 The switch will require a unique code of its own.

Also worth noting, incase you intend to use the code in another item, the coupon code can only be used for one transaction. Buy a $5 item, the remaining $45 is lost.
