Assume same V10 as this deal which was $279.99?
I just received mine from that deal today

    • You did not mention how long the dispatch and delivery takes. Mine took 17 days from purchase date.
A great price nonetheless. Just don't expect a quick shipping.
I bought the V10 Two Head Combo. I wanted the newer V11 but it doesn't have a carpet head.

      • +2

ordered v9 combo from last deal on 8/2 and it was shipped today. 2.5 weeks after order date. estimated delivery date 1/3, so yeah, I agree it's not quick.

  • Is this motorised head good for hard surfaces too?

    • yes i use it for my tiled floors. Bought a seprate carpet head to use as well.

      • +4

Doesn't this come with the carpet head not the hard surface head?

        • Curious and wanting to know the same!

        • +1

No as far as im aware, if it doesnt specifically say "carpet head bundle" it doesnt come with it. If you scroll down on the product page to "whats in the box" there is no carpet head. I bought my carpet head when it was posted on ozb for $58

edit: This is the carpet head

          • +4

@AssBargain: The new one is 2 in 1 head AFAIK. What you got was the old one.

          • +6

@AssBargain: I'm fairly sure this one is with carpet head and without soft roller. If you look at the previous deal there are two listed:
Dreame V10 Upgraded Version: $279.99 <- carpet head only
Dreame V10 Soft Roller Head and Upgraded Carpet Head Combo $339.99 <- carpet head + soft roller a.k.a hard surface one

The one in your link does not fit the new 2021 manufactured model. I bought one separately (Nov 20) and it does not fit the one I got from Kogan (received in Feb 21)

            • @Bigboomboom: thats probably it then, i bought mine back in sept last year

            • @Bigboomboom: I got my V10 ordered in december delivered only couple of weeks ago by kogan. I need a carpet brush, so do I have to wait for the upgraded brush to be released? I think gearbyte rep was saying it would be in late march in one of the other threads, is that the one I should be waiting for? Thanks.

        • On the 10th photo.
item 2: it does state its a 2 in 1 brush.
so my guess it's the upgraded ver.

          • @Tohnio: the one i bought from late last year also says 2in1 brush. But i found that the carpet head i bought picks up hair better than the 2in1 brush head.

          • @Tohnio: Item 2 that is a Two-in-One brush is just a small attachment (approx.2.5" wide - well the Dyson one is), and it's not a "head" per say, like the others are referring to. Further down the description, it says this is used for keyboard, pendant lamps & curtains. Looking at photo 2 which is of the "head" it says "Upgraded Carpet Head", so Item 6 on photo 10 (All Surface brush), I would assume is the upgraded carpet brush. All in all, not the clearest descriptions.

            • @OldKing: and @AssBargain

              pardon me
mmm was on my phone when i saw the ad.
welp, i should have gone to specsavers.

        • doesn't it say all surface head?

    • How does this "motorised" head work? Doesn't the suction drive the head, i.e. there is no motor in the head? And why do you have to get a new head for carpets when the only difference is the brush roller? Surely you can just buy a different roller without forking out $80+ for a complete new head and, if so, are there cheap knockoff rollers?

      • Pretty sure the motorised head actually has a motor in it to drive the spin, suction alone will not be sufficient in spinning it.

        • Cheers but pretty sure it doesn't. I have the 1C with the standard head and suction drives the spin on that. Just been looking at YouTube videos, and the action in the carpet head looks identical. The main difference, apart from the roller, is that the carpet head's clear plastic covering extends to the ground, which increases suction on carpets. This is an excellent video showing the difference between the heads, and comparing them to the Dyson V10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Va7e48FSTs

          • @sepa: Pretty sure it does use a motor to drive the spin. Pay close attention to this video at 06:04, the roller spins at high velocity at the instant that the button is pressed. Seems way too powerful for it to be purely suction driven.

I own a Dyson V10 and can confirm that its carpet and hard-floor heads are motorised. But I can't say for sure for Dreame as I do not own one yet.

  • +2

    This or the Dyson V7?

    • +2

      Let your wallet decide.

    • +1

Deinitely this. Used to own a Dyson, bought the Dreame T20 and it's on par if not better, but it costs a fraction.

  • Does this offer wet vacuum abilities?

    • +3

      NO

      • +1

        Okay.

    • +1

YES - Start vacuuming straight after having shower

  • What's the dirt bin emptying mechanism like on these? The Dyson V8 is freakin awesome, empties the whole lot every time and a huge improvement to the V6.

    • +1

not sure what the dyson you speak of is like but a single push on the v10 ejects the bottom lid. Long hair always gets stuck in their for me though. So i have to get a stick from the backyard to fish them out.

    • +1

Very average, maybe only releases half the rest gets stuck behind the rubber seal. Might be a better design now vs my older model however.

    • +2

I have Dyson V10 and Dreame V9 (=Dreame V10). From my experience, Dyson V10 push method vs Dreame V9 button method are both easy. Just that will the dirt empty after just a pushed or button? Sometimes both has some dirt or hair stuck inside the bin. To prevent that, empty bin everytime after vacuum and always empty it way before it reaches max. Both Dyson and Dreame can be empty with just a pushed and button most of the time.

geez haven't get mine from last order already lost $10

    • +1

      thats depreciation for ya

    • If it's any consolation it will probably have dropped another $10 before they get theirs.

  • Does anyone need an old version V10 Carpet Head ? Also works with the V9 I believe

    • +1

      Yes please

    • I dunno if my v10 is old version, I got mine from kogan and it was backordered for a long time and only got it couple of weeks ago. How do I know if its old or newer version? Thanks. I need the carpet head badly.

      • I ordered the same one it's most likely the new carpet head required. Newer carpet head I believe has more distance in the pins. Don't know why they designed it like that tbh.

Also anyone else need an old carpet head?

        • I just measured the gap between the pins, its exactly 10mm. Can you kindly confirm if this is the old or the newer version of the V10 I have? Thanks.

          • @John Doh: Just measured mine and it's also 10mm - yep that would be the new model.

            • @eatdiz: Thanks mate! :)

            • @eatdiz: Hey mate, a quick question if you dont mind. Right out of the box, whenever I use the soft roller brush, I see that the motor sound/hum of the brush is not constant, it varies up and down as I use it, though the motor sound of the vaccum itself is fine and constant. This was not the case with my earlier dyson V6 where the motor of both the handheld unit and the roller brush had almost constant sound throughout the cleaning process.

Does your V10 act the same? Just wondering if mine is faulty.

  • +1

Gearbite said newer version for V11 with carpet head is coming in March 2021

  • +2

$263.12 with PLUSAY12 coupon (and AfterPay or eBay gift card payment method)

    • I paid $255.23 - used a combination of PLUSAY12 with discounted eBay gift cards from Suncorp (currently 3% off). Hope this is useful for anyone with access to the gift cards!

  • is this better than dyson v10?

  • Can these vacs be turned on and stay on without holding the button which turns them on?

As in I have RSI so holding the button all the time to vac some floors is a killer, a remain on feature would be handy.

I currently have a cheap ebay $120 of some brand which is likely not as good as these ones but at least it has this button hold on feature.

Any feedback would be great :)

    • +1

V9 V10 need to manually press the trigger
      V11, automatic.
      as per gearBite comparison table

      • Thanks for the update there Babi! Cheers 👍

  • Does the all surface head listed in this deal work with the new pin system that the v11 has?

Is there an all surface head available for the v11? Or is there one coming?

  • I'll wait until EOFY or BF $199.

  • "Order after 19:39 25th Feb will ship around 10th March."

I still have yet to receive my order form the 8th of Feb so purchase at your own risk.

  • I purchased this yesterday through eBay and received tracking confirmation from aust post this afternoon. Shopping to Chatswood NSW

    • How?… I bought this on the 25th of Feb and today, they just sent me a message via ebay:

"sorry about that! our stock will ready to mid of March. if you happy to waiting new stock, we are happy to offer you free express post service upon request.

We apologise again for any inconvenience caused. Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us."

      What a joke…

    • How does it go on hard floors?

  • Just got this today - its fantastic.

I just bought a v7 from costco last month which is definitely going back, i've tried the v10 dyson in store and i would say its on par with the v10.

For the price this is amazing.

    • How does the "All Surface Motorized Head" go on hard floors?

  • Does anyone here bought a stand for the vacuum?

  • Works with the new [PLUSPR10] ebay code

  • How does this "upgraded version" with the motorised head compare to the normal foam type head on the v9?

  • Works with the new [PHCA10] ebay code

  • Anyone else still searching for answer to whether the "All Surface Motorized Head" means there's no longer any need to think about head? Is this 2 in 1 head better than the separate carpet and hard head?
