These are supposed to have a price of $329 USD. Given 3070s are priced around the $1,000 AUD mark you'd have to be really desperate to pay that much for a 3060.

Tbh I do been looking to upgrade 3 months ago but still haven't get one

      • +3

What sort of staff discount do you get at Centrecom on these?

        • Hahahaha I wish I do but sadly no just a guy trying to upgrade from 1080ti and desperate looking or a card :)))

          • +5

@hailuadanhwar: Keep your current card and wait if I were you. Otherwise give me $300 dollars and I'll slap you back into your senses.

          • +2

            @hailuadanhwar: I don't think this card is an upgrade from a 1080ti
Performance is between 2070 and 2070 super according to benchmarks
Unless of course you are after it for RT

      These are supposed to

They aren't supposed to have any price. The RRP is a device used to manipulate the customer's sense of value. It has nothing to do with the real value of the card.

    • Totally ridiculous, but one minor upside is that scalpers have one less thing to snap up then sell at a huge mark up!

  • +1

They can keep them for 1k. The only people buying will be the people who will claim "it was never delivered", and hence end up with it for free.

Welcome to OzBargain, but it's a 'No Deal' from me.

    • How could you possibly say it was not delivered when you need to sign for it?

  • +7

    Yeah….na.

  • +1

yeah here come the shortages make the prices crowd, blindly ignoring the government placed controls. our market is set up to promote gouging

AUD $925.10 GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti newegg - must be bundled…. (the extra gouge for Oz) at time of posting….

    • that's cheap as, if it was in stock, insta buy for many people

      • not to my eyes but i post what i see, even in shitty threads

  • +1

    What a ridiculous price. Bruh.

  • +1

Yep, not a bargain in any sense other than limited supply pushing market prices stupidly high so relatively, this might be the cheapest price out there right now.

Also, IMHO, giving distro/retailer behaviour like this a spotlight only encourages it further (by making it successful) and will only encourage more of this in the future, so not something we should give air time to.

Of course we gamer we don't like this at all but the problem is not us there will be some mf miner that will bloody get it all again just to mine to f**k crypto :(

      • +1

Missed my point mate; anyone buying at this price point is the problem, not just miners. Giving them free publicity at these prices only encourages them because it means more people see it and it's therefore more likely someone will actually buy at this BS price.

        • +1

It is also not like miners are forcing these cards to be sold at such a high price, this is profiteering from the store or distributor. They could very well be sold for a reasonable price, but someone in the chain saw the high prices scalpers are charging and decided they wanted some of that pie.

LOL! $500-$600 card for 1k … the times we live in!

    • crypto time

      • i think i got my record number of negs last time for saying that word… LOL

  • yep demand and supply unfortunately…. lucky this is a discretionary good… not a necessity.

  • +2

Almost $300 more than the cheapest ones, what a ripoff.

    • -3

I know right but it is what it is de only time it will get down to the original price is that crypto market bloom.

  • +1

What the hell, 3070 is this price.

  • +3

Lol got a 3070 for 809 who the hell would pay 1k for a bloody 3060

    • Any tips on where to get one?
      What store was it from?

      • Umart preorder. Not sure if that is still available but probably not.

  • The only way price is going to come back to earth if the desperate miners stop buying the cards and that could only happen if the crypto currency drops in value.

  • +1

This is shocking. No one should buy this card at this time.

    Thanks for posting

  • +6

    Almost $1k for a 3060, what a laughing stock.

  • +2

    Dude.

    Not a good price.

  • Any deal on an in stock RTX 3060Ti for under $800ish??
    Crazy For a RTX 3060
Actually only $839 for the 3060 on Mwave if anyone is desperate

  • Why are people even bothering to mine with these

  • +1

Wahhh … I bought a 2070super last October for $550 when all the 30xx launch talk was around. Lots of people told me to wait - lucky I didn't. The pricing for graphics cards has gone crazy. I guess the only way to get a half decent price is now with a prebuild system - take the card out and sell the rest of the system.

  • +4

For 500 more techfast will build you the PC and will give you a 3070!

    Intel RTX 3070 Gaming PCs [B460/480/650B]: i5-10400F: $1477 / Liquid Cooled i7-10700F: $1777 + Delivery @ TechFast

  • +1

    This is just (profanity) ridiculous…

  • LOL

  • +3

lmao nice quick buy it, 3070 and $50 of 6800 XT for a card worse than a 2060 Super.
    It should be around $500 max. (329 = 418 AUD*1.1 = $460.

    • +1

Spot on, I would pay $500 max for this card, nothing more.

    • for 1000bucks, no chance for 3060.

  • +1

    disgraceful price

  • Does anyone think the price of GPU (RTX30 series) will ever come back down to the price they were first released?

    • next year maybe

      • but that's just because next year RTX40 series might come out lol
