Adam Internet: Adam EzyChoice, 24 Month Plan (In Enabled ADSL-2+ Areas) - 200GB for $50/Month

60

"* Only available to NEW customers signing up on a 24 month contract on ADSL2+, Naked ADSL2+ and VDSL2 services." Wait, there's more:

(We are aware of PAST sales, in which Adam has been persuaded - eg, by polite, but assertive eMail request(s) - to let some existing ADSL-2+ customers benefit from the temporary "$50 buys 200 GB" offer, originally for new customers only. YMMV)

Of course, before buying, you might like to compare this to other ISP's offerings, eg, by visiting: http://bc.whirlpool.net.au

Also, remember the National Broadband Network (NBN) is coming and/or here, so check out any introductory offerings its retailers might be making.

Although Adam Internet is SA-based, they have interstate customers.

A few Adam Internet features, that we've heard about:

a. [In some areas] you can vary your speed (slow to make your data last the month; fast to get something you need quickly), in near-real time; you may need to reset your modem/router to see the speed-change.

b. You can (last time we checked) buy [costly] data blocks OR upgrade your plan, while on contract, apparently changing once per month.

c. Adam offer some "unmetered content" (presumably. if you access it correctly)

As always, I suggest you confirm the above with Adam, before buying anything.

[If you'd like to give credit for this Deal "lead" - and… Why not? :-) -
we can send you a Referrer code to help cut a current Adam customer's cost, if you use it when you sign-up with them. Please consider.

OR… you can help each other, eg, "bring a friend" with you. One would save $25.00
I'm sure you could use OB's forum to make the arrangements. :-)]

Not a bargain. Pretty much standard price nowadays.

    • I've only seen better deals from cut-price ISPs like TPG and Dodo.

  • Oh, well, I've seen some comparatively average offers recently…

    Who's got -better- offerings?

    Nice write up! A++++++plus

TPG does 500 GB for $50 (250 peak + 250 offpeak) - has this plan got something extra over TPG's offer?

    • +2

it does have one advantage, you don't have to deal with TPG

      • +7

I've had no problem dealing with TPG ever and I've been a customer with them for years.

MyNetFone can give you 200Gb ADSL2+ offnet (on Telstra network) for $49.95 on 12 months contract, free N-wireless modem and free signup. I don't see how the Adam Internet offer is a deal.

24 months on an already expensive plan?

  • +2

24 month plan is so very 10 years ago

  • +1

They are a good company to deal with.
Also you get a local VLAN to share stuff with people on your DSLAM (quota free of course).

Gotta say, that is pretty cool. Would have been hugely useful about a decade ago when 256k was broadband and 512k/1.5mbit was a luxury.

Exetel do 100GB peak + 100GB off-peak for $29.50/m plus $20/m line rental (see OT-100 here). 12 month contract and $40 activation fee.

They use Optus ADSL2+ exchanges which are in many areas and speeds (in my experience) are superb.

TPG adsl2+ Unlimited + Phone line rentail = $60BUX! an extra $5 total = $65 unlimited local calls!!!
much better i rekon.. cos $50 adam is no line rental.. line rental avaerage is $30bux more../? which is better? lol

  • I will plus this if the speed and stability is better than TPG…(No, i really don't know if it is or not)

But again, I don't play games, so my TPG is very serviceable at the price i pay…

  • I can vouch for Adam, having been a customer for 10 years. Consistently good service, connection always has been pretty stable, even when living quite far from the exchange.

  • I been with Adam Internet for around 8-10 years, no probs at all.
Also they have an Android app that I use on my phone to monitor your usage. Very handy.
