Get 5,000 bonus Telstra Plus points when you download My Telstra app, join Telstra Plus and redeem in the app. Hurry, offer ends 31 March 2021.

Excludes enterprise, business and corporate accounts, and customers who had downloaded the app before 1 March 2021

In order to be eligible to receive the bonus Telstra Plus points, you need to:

  • Download and install the My Telstra app for the first time between 1 March 2021 12:01am AEST and closes 11.59pm AEST on 31 March 2021 (which we’re referring to as “the promotion period”). If you’ve already downloaded the app before the promotion period starts, or don’t download it during the promotion period you won’t be eligible;
  • Log in to the app and enrol in Telstra Plus if you’re not already a member. In order to enrol in Telstra Plus, you’ll need to meet the eligibility criteria for Telstra Plus; and
  • Redeem the points offer in the app.
  • This offer is only available once per Telstra Plus membership.

      they always (profanity) their existing customers. They wouldn't give the NBN discount to existing cable customers who want to transfer to the NBN plans.

      Surely, keeping an existing customer happy costs less money than acquiring a new customer!?

        Why would they give an "NBN discount"?

        They used to be the worst ISP in the country. Now that "NBN competition" has arrived many ISPs are more expensive than Telstra while having far worse service.

        Australians are suckers who paid to upgrade the infrastructure so that the private sector could rip them off worse than before.

        I just tried it. Still on 1600 points. I didn't get any notification of extra points. I'll wait and see, but looks like it doesn't work.

    I cashed in my points recently, picked up the jbl charge 4 speaker for 65k points. I then left telstra for my mobile service, moved to Mate and am paying half what I was for my monthly plan. I’m still hanging on to my telstra cable for internet because there is no NBN at my address… but I’ll be happy to get out as soon as it becomes available.
    For those wondering where the bonus points are, they sometimes take a number of days to appear in your account after the promo criteria have been met.
    Hope it’s worth it for you!

    Make sure you do a screen recording on your phone just to be sure they (Telstra Plus team) don't weasel their way out of actually giving the points to you.
    I had to fight for 50,000 points to be given to me and if it wasn't for my actual evidence saved (a screenshot) they would have not given me these points.

    Also make sure you take a copy (an actual screenshot) of the original offer that including terms and conditions because they love to retrospectively add "disclaimers or ineligibility causes" if they forget something should they decide to extend the original offer.

    I've just signed up and these points haven't shown on my account, does anyone have any advice how to proceed. Do they take a while to come through or is anything in particular needed?
