      Have you read other promotions t&c?
      Fairly standard in publicity driven campaigns like this. We are the product!

      Publicity photos are a pretty common request. But unlikely to be used in this $30 promo.
      More likely with large prizes (eg win a car - expect your smiling face to appear in their publicity, media, trade mags).

      It's also used by the promoter to "prove" to the organisation paying for their services, that the prizes were actually distributed.

      Even with free food samples in supermarkets, some times I have been asked to be photographed with the product for that reason. I just decline.

      Picking up a free Tontine pillow in a trade-in promo in Queen Street Mall, required being photographed with the pillow. I just made it look like I'd received the worst prize ever - so my photo was so unlikely to be used.

          Should work to pay anything online.

          Likely similar to popular Free $15 Prepaid Mastercard.
          Promoted in “National Local Day” to buy beer at local pub…
          But used mine to buy discounted Woolies egift card online.

          I'd try it but I have too many egift cards!

                  @dmbminaret: It was an eftpos card and says to select 'savings' when using it so I dont think its a visa or mastercard. I have used it up and thrown it out so can't check

    Received mine down here in Vic earlier in the week and when applying had every intent on using it for its intended use, as we have a holiday to the sunny state booked from the 8th, but there was no '1 week expiry' listed on the site or T&C.

    So now due to the misleading registration I have no quarms in using it elsewhere.
