Now they’re just taking the piss, there’s way too many kinds of these cards now. What a nightmare - some can be used in store only, or online only and some both. They keep changing which stores these are redeemable against as well.

    • +4

Ultimate cards: some stores won't let you use the remaining balance of the card and pay the extra with cash (but you never know which stores). Some stores require you to convert the total value of the card into the equivalent value of that store's card (but you never know which stores). Some stores accept online transactions, some don't, but the trick is finding out which ones because customer service never give you a straight answer. Ultimate gift cards suck unless you have a specific need. FFS, just give cash as a gift.

Dam need a discounted Prepaid MasterCard gift card to pay a large amount to the ATO

    • +1

Same, not large amount but still want some discount.

    • -1

      Please elaborate?

      • +1

The Ozbargain Way to pay ATO

Still looking for deals but seems like current best way based on no good current deals would be 0% bank transfer for instant pay off or using Zip to pay daily cap everyday and then collect CC points paying off Zip.

        • Thanks.
          ATO takes zip pay?

    • +1

Gotta hope it's not gone by the time you go 🤡

I went to 3 Coles and found a total of 3 $100 cards - where did they all go?

        • They got ozbargained !

        • Maybe in the freezer 🤣

  • Ditching Coles for my switch 2 at EB GAMES

  • Thanks, bought apple gift card

  • +3

Thank you! Bought an Ultimate Everyone gift card and received in four minutes. I combined it with a Commbank Yello offer ($10 cash back for a $120 spend) for a better deal :)

  • +1

So, if I need to spend $ 1,500 at Ikea, what is the best way to purchase gift cards?

    • +1

Following! I have a kitchen update I need to do 😆

    • +1

IKEA gift cards. Can use unlimited online. Have used 27 or so in the past in one go. Got them during the everyday rewards 20x points offers. Straight 10% off would be good if an offer comes by.

      • +2

Well it's your lucky day. That deal starts today. Ultimate Students GC 10% off.

        • Just to let you know its a max of 5 per day per flybuys account and only comes in $30 or $50 denominations for the Students card (for the Coles offer)

          • @StJackal: Better than a stick in the eye.

            Have multiple flybuys accounts.

          • +1

@StJackal: Does the temporary flybuys stack next to checkout works? because if you get 10% discount, you can just toss it afterward

    • This week(starting today) Coles has 10% discount on ultimate giftcard.

  • $3000 to spend at Webjet, but seems you cant use the Ultimate card online. Anyone know of a workaround?

  • So, if I buy $3500 amount apple gift card, will I get $350 amazon credit?
    Is there any cap?

    • The T&Cs mention “The promotional credit can only be redeemed once per customer on eligible items.”. Either way this would need to go through as 35 x $100 Apple gift cards, so best case you’d get 35 x $10 credits. My concern would be the ability to use more than one of these $10 credits at a time. Anyone tried getting more than 1?

      • Says in the terms the promotional credit will automatically apply to your next eligible order so I guess it's either going to apply 1 of them all of them. Seems like you'd need to try to find out.

Could always do 2 orders to get 2 credits then start another order on an eligible item to see if it applies just 1 or both.

How long is the delivery usually? I purchases $720 worth to pay for my Switch 2 but still haven't received it and it's been 4 hours.

    • +1

same here. I am still waiting on it

      • I ended up going to Coles and grabbed 7 $100 Him cards for 10% off instead and messaged Amazon on chat to have the order cancelled

        • Hey are you planning to buy online or in store because I heard JBHIFI doesn’t accept the use of more than 1 gift card that isn’t their own each transaction

          • @wes0110: I'm using these to pay off my pre-order tomorrow at EB Games. Previous comments suggested EB Games is fine with this. Regarding JB, I think you can combine all your card for 1 single JB card if you look at comments on the other post.

          • @wes0110: you can swap to jb gift card

        • take two cards back its 5 card limit I believe

    • I got it pretty much 5 min after order ? just ordered, maybe check your spam ?

      • Haven't received anything in 3 hours and counting; it's not in the spam.

    • Still waiting 7 hours later!
Ordered a $100 Apple gift card.

      • +1

Messaged them and they said the gift card will take 24 hours to be delivered!!

        • Have you ended up receiving yours yet?

          • @bbnoSam: Yes, at 5am this morning.

            • @Bonddm: Damn, I'm still waiting, been over 24 hours now and customer support aren't helping. Never buying gift cards off Amazon again.

  • Its good that harris farm gc can be used in store now. Didnt used to be the case

Actually i checked in store and they say no. The amazon listing is probably wrong.

      • +2

I use gift cards in store at HFM regularly.

        • I can confirm that paying with a gift card works at my local Harris Farm.

  • Ordered over $1000 to buy the iPhone at 11am and still waiting. Contacted Amazon who said it’ll take 24-48hours and will refund if not received in 48hrs -.-

  • +1

    7% off no longer available!

I ordered a couple of ultimate cards about 9 hours ago but I'm still waiting to receive them. Email said delivery would be within 5 minutes. I was going to use them for my switch 2 this morning.

Messaged amazon and they said there's a technical problem and that someone would email me within 24 hours.

    • Thanks for the info. Luckily I am not urgent to use these gift cards, hope you get your switch 2 in time.

  • any restriction to use it with the good guys? need new dishwasher so probably need 2*500

  • I ordered a couple of Ultimate Gift Cards but Amazon didn't fulfill the order. Instead they cancelled the order yesterday.

  • Sorry a bit confused, how to get $20 per $200 ? can just add 2 cards and check out and that will get me $40 amazon credit or each should have its own order?

    • Ordered one yesterday, got it today with email about three $20 credit

  • They’ve now also got a (very underwhelming) buy $200, get $5 deal on Amazon gift cards.

It looks like there’s a glitch. I placed three separate orders for $200 IKEA gift cards. However, during checkout for the third order, a $20 promotional credit was automatically applied—possibly from the first or second order—reducing the payment amount to $180.

According to the terms of service, promotional credits aren't supposed to apply when purchasing gift cards. Also, I only received promotional credit emails for the first two orders—not the third. I assume this means no credit will be issued for the third one, likely because the total paid was $180 instead of $200.
