I had a look what I can see the 85t's outperform the airpods on all fronts
I wouldn’t say all fronts. Sound for sure, otherwise I’d take the AirPod pros. But that one little thing…
I personally think the airpods are more balanced and offer more ANC capabilities compared to 85ts
Airpods Pro's for sure if you already have an Apple iPhone. With Android it is a separate conversation.
So these aren't very good with Android?
You loose all quality of life improvements with Android. Spatial Audio, instant pairing with all your apple devices, seamless call transfer, accessibility settings etc etc. There are too may to list here.
On a basic level these sound really good and have possibly the best active noise cancellation among true wireless earbuds and they are incredibly comfortable - they will stay the same whether Android or Apple but within the Apple ecosystem they are akin to magic.
Plus I believe the aac audio codec isn't designed for Android, they will work and prob fine for most people but isn't ideal. AptX would be the go (basing this on the airpods 2 but assume the same story).
Btw I find the airpods 2 comfortable, as I can't wear canalphones or in ears where you need a seal. Would the airpods pro be the same for as the airpods 2, I assume not? Hard to find anything that suits besides knock off/airpods
I'm sure this won't apply to everyone but I bought my Airpods Pros from Officeworks last year and had some issues with them not long after (playing weird sounds). I've heard about others having similar issues. Officeworks got them fixed for me super quickly. It might be a harder to do that if you buy from a vendor that doesn't have brick-and-mortar stores. I'm not saying don't do it because this is a great price and they are an awesome product but just something to keep in mind!

Biggest plus of being in the Apple ecosystem. The worst part is that youre in the Apple ecosystem.
The Apple ecosystem does everything I need it to do and I think the same probably goes for most people, but I understand that it doesn’t work for some and that’s cool.

used to hate these til i found myself using them every single day. SQ is ok to good. ANC good. But the portability, ease of use is great!
i use them for cycling, gym, commute watching tv at 3am.they go everywhere with me. still hate apple though.
Not everyone likes shoving something inside their ear. For longer term use at home (quiet environment), I would personally prefer the 2's.
It doesnt go too much inside your ear like other in ear headphones. I would argue that they are even more comfortable than 2's simple because you dont have to worry about them falling out of your ears and the pressure equilisation vent takes care of any pressure that you could have felt. I absolutely love mine and they are one of my best tech purchase ever!
I think it's really going to depend on personal ear shape. I can't stand the inears, but love the buds, they fit snugly in my ears and never fall out.
@ONEMariachi: You can customise the fit of the Pro's using the included silicone tips somewhat but not at all with the normal Airpods. Also, earwax will ruin the Airpods but not the Pro's as the silicone tips have a mesh inside. Overall Airpods Pro have been a great quality of life improvements for me.
