Any feedback on using this instead of filthy shopping trolleys? Call me crazy but putting the groceries in the same place parents put their shitty kids is disgusting.

    • Might be a little low down

    • People let their shitty kids touch and lick everything, and feed themselves out of the fruit isles and bulk food bins, so trolleys are probably the least of your issues.

feed themselves out of the fruit isles and bulk food bins

      • People let their shitty kids touch and lick everything, and feed themselves out of the fruit isles and bulk food bins

        This is why:
        1. Stuff in multiple sealed packaging (eg. cereal bag inside a cereal box) gets removed from the outer packaging before going into our fridge/pantry.
        2. Where possible, stuff that only has one packaging gets put into new clean zip lock bags (eg. frozen chips).
        3. Stuff that can't be removed from packaging before use are wiped over.

        bulk food bins

Not a chance I would touch that.

so trolleys are probably the least of your issues

It's all about reducing the risk factor. The number of people who have touched items on the shelf would be a lot lower than the hundreds of people who touch trolleys every day.

        • you're even worse than me

do you feel like you have a problem or are you happy?

@bargain huntress: I've always been a bit of a germophobe, but kicked it up a notch since COVID. Since then I haven't gotten a cold once (biggest reason is probably not catching public transport in a year and always wearing a mask in public indoor areas). So as someone who hates getting a cold, yep I'm happy :D

I've travelled a reasonable amount, but never been to the fruit isles.

        • +1

I have never been to the apple isle…

    • You are clearly not a parent as I was thinking the opposite…ie. not sure if I would like put my kids in the same place as the groceries been….(especially from places like paddy's markets)

You were one of those kids once.. wake up.

Can also get it for $47.99 C&C on their eBay Store using "PAPDY20" and Afterpay/Gift Cards as payment.

    • Awesome price. I'm personally after the Wanderer with the wider wheels sold by BCF, Rebel and the likes. Keeping an eye out for that.

      • Then you're in luck:

Got one with free delivery code, this was a week or so ago so not sure if it's still valid.

        • No longer available for delivery. And when stock did become available, the delivery is no longer free ($25) even with the coupon applied.

          • @tatasauce: Damn. Deal needs to be marked expired 😔

@TheFunkySalsa: Missed out on that deal by a whisker as I had to attend to something. Was no longer available when I got back to it half hour later.

Seems no stock in WA, initially showed stocks but as payment being processed it failed and now shows no stock for that store. Tried C&C on on 10 different stores all erroring the same.

Main website only shows availability in Mandurah for those in WA. Probably thats why ehy ebay fails to checkout.

      • That is annoying… no way I will be driving down all the way there :(

    • DAmm I tried to pick up in WA with AfterPay and keep saying "the number orders is not available" :(

  • I also think that the club members got some credit $ recently…

  • Is their a lighter version of this? dont mind paying extra for it..

Looks similar to the Kmart one thats cheaper

  • This or Kmart one, has anyone compared them?

    • In one of the listings someone mentioned load rating. 50kg vs 80kg.

  • What are the practical uses for this really?

    • A lot of comments in other threads about using it to lug stuff to the park or beach.. load your Esky, food, etc

      • … and toddlers…:)
