I'm getting a $6 delivery fee. I'm in Perth and don't have Ebay PLUS fyi.

    • Yep. Its free standard delivery with eBay plus. Not sure why they dont have express, given ebay plus pays the difference for it.

Can we just get a sticky post at the top of OzBargain that says:

Afterpay sale: 20% off on a lot of products on ebay. If you need sth search eBay and see if the discount applies.
*(Be careful for price jacking and look at the historical prices before you buy it)

And not post every single product on eBay here?

Idk, I kinda don't mind having a variety. It lets you search for the best price in the future, and also OzB has been low on good deals recently. A flash gone by and I realised I've already used my 5 redemptions of the code.

  • Are any of these drives rosebud hdd?

    • None of them is Rosebud… they could be Rosewood.

      • LOL yeah I was thinking of rose something…

ended up with the first thing that came to my head was rosebud but should have been rosewood..

        This is shit then..
cos only seagate hdd are cheap and shuckable
WD portable hdd are not shuckable..

Now we got no choice and can get only get rosewood if we want shuckable hdd
        but rosewood hdd are shit..

        Damn this is a dilemma…

Now the only other option is to wait for SDD 1TB to 4TB to come down in price even more..

  • Just curious if these are better or comparable with the WD 4TB Passport?
    Thanks

    • Unless the model number is provided, cannot tell. If it is Rosewood, then avoid it. WD could be using a board that only has USB 3 port, rather than SATA + a bridge chip.

All these portable drives are SMR ones (well, technically a mixture of CMR and SMR).

      WD aren't shuckable
but seagate could have the shit rosewood drives..

  • My 5TB from Shopping Express arrived today. How can you find out if a seagate HDD is rosewood? When I plug it into my PC, it just shows up as "Backup Plus".

    Product: STHP5000403

EDIT: after a quick google, rosewood are only found in 1TB and 2TB, phew :)

  • The Seagate Expansion 4TB and 5TB Portable HDD at Domayne may work out to be a decent price.
