The only downside is that the yearly subscription cost adds up pretty fast once you get more than a couple of Ring cameras.
It's the first downside i.e. subscription based.
Once you get 4 or more devices just get on the "plus" plan - A$15/month or A$150/year for as many devices as you want.
Ring cameras have huge privacy concerns.

I rang and orded a few fir pick upFantastic timing. About an hour ago I discovered my Xiaomi cameras are dogshit after a couple of good years and invested in a Ring doorbell last year and like it.
Was just on Amazon looking at these and decided to wait for one of Amazon's sales. One thing you can rely on is Ring devices being on sale when amazon has a 'day'.

Some (profanity) stole my wallet, and because of ring I was able to block all my cards before he tried to max out my cards at jbhi online and 7-Eleven.
Didn’t catch him, but at least was able to provide police with evidence.
my battery has degraded after only 6 months, was recharging every 3 weeks now its weekly, plus the subscription is a downside.

Was $148 on Amazon this morning too. Keep an eye out, somewhere else might drop.
Disappointed with Bunnings Thornleigh on this one. I hit up their web site last night and it showed as available for C&C. I hit the buy button, and waited for the email to arrive today advising to go and collect.
Instead I received a message they have no stock, sorry, here's a refund.
My local had low stock too (it told you exactly how many on check out too). With only 1 available I figured it might not actually be in stock so I chose one further away with plenty of stock.
Great price, nothing beats this deal tho
