Keep in mind that Microsoft Modern Standby which is supported by this PSU also needs a compatible motherboard as well… I have this PSU but I can see that S0 (Modern Standby) is not available in command prompt. And it turns out this matters way more for laptops than desktops because desktops do not really need low power idle… I don’t know why Corsair has this listed as a key feature.

  • What are you guys using now to compare pc parts and compatibility when building a PC from scratch? Haven't built a PC since 2013, not sure if pcpartpicker is still the way to go

      pcpartpicker 👍

  • Wait so RM is better than RMX?

RMx is better as it has higher quality capacitors amongst other things. This is still a great PSU for a decent price.

    • Both good, not sure why a lot of people are making comparisons because both are top notch and will last for years to come.

    • RM is trash, with Suscons. I don't know why people focus on only the smaller Elite caps, when the largest cap is a Suscon.

  • I bought this for 190 and thought it was fair for quality psu

  • Price tracker shows that it was $147 on 06 March
