That's pretty nice of them. Kudos to Kayo

  • +2

I followed the freebies link on their main page.
    Watching Bahrain pre session now.
    Pretty cool.

  • Anyone else getting an error when signing up?

edit- worked for me by going to kayo first and not clicking on the direct link

    • +1

Thanks for trying, I've removed the link.

AND IT'S LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO

  • +14

Cool, but can you let us have F1TV pro yet?

  • +5

"These (profanity) cars just keep going round and round and round. It's been so (profanity) boring!"

The 12th Man (impersonating the late, great Murray Walker).

    • +2

      -7 downvotes? Urgh. +1.

    • +2

      It's PRACTICE……what are you expecting !

      • +2

        You talkin bout… practice?

      • +1

I'm not expecting anything. I was quoting a comedian who was pretending to be an F1 commentator. I actually like F1, but wonder what Billy Birmingham's The 12th Man would have had Murray Walker say about practice sessions if he had him say that actual Grands Prix were boring.

    • +3

Have an upvote, I guess this generation doesn't know who Billy is.

    • You should try watch NASCAR

    • Downvotes Lol, seems F1 fans are a bit sensitive

      • This is OBargain - sensitivity goes with the territory.

      • Nah they just don’t know who the 12th man is:)

        • Maybe. Maybe they don't know what quotation marks mean.

  • Get on it lads

    • Get in there Lewis!

        Bono, my tyres are gone!!

        • Where’s Max!

Legend! Thank you for sharing, made my day!

    RIP Mobdro

  • Only just saw this, after the session ended, but SO GOOD. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

    • Love that you signed up to post this comment. Free Practise 2 in 2 hours.

    • I just signed up… you can still watch the relay if it… well i can right now so… I'm sure it's somewhere there burried in the menu if you look under "motorsports". ?

    • Cant you still watch it?

      • Yeah I can. I meant that I just missed out on watching it live.

  • +2

Will be signing up for F1……..but still weighing up the cheapest method seeing as Beteasy is no longer. Not a lot out there other than if a Telstra customer!

    • Costco have a deal on Kayo cards at the moment.

      • Might help if you noted what the deal is?

        • $100 Kayo Gift Card for $84.99 apparently.

          • @Hybroid: apparently or actual :-) Genuine question.

            • @Borg: They do, lots of cards at the Perth store.

    • -1

If you’re signing up just for the f1, wouldn’t you be better off going straight for f1tv which is $35 a year instead of kayo?

      • +1

Isn't that just for Exclusive documentaries & 650+ historic races from the F1 archives.
It's not the Race weekends and live streaming (I'll stand corrected).

    • What sort of benefits can you get if you're a telstra customer?

      • For me kayo is $15/m for 12m if added to my telstra nbn.

Also had binge free for 6m at one point.

  • Wow. Thankyou deal poster! That's F1 free practices sorted for the whole year.

I have a question though. Paying for an actual (basic) subscription…it says $25 a month. I assume that is in Australian dollars, right? (Cannot find anything on the Kayo website distinguishing this!). Does anyone know? (I just want some certainty).

    • +1

yes aud kayo is an australian service

    • If you're with Telstra you can get it for $15 p/m for 12 months.

  • +2

Lucked out. Last year I had AFL pass through the AFL app. The AFL pass has been discontinued but replaced in the app by an offer for Kayo @ $5 a month for 12 months for Telstra customers who can no longer use live pass. I am a Boost customer and it allowed me to sign up. Have cancelled Foxtel as sport was the only reason I was subscribing. Kayo is a little different to use but after the learning curve, I find it very good. When I cancelled Foxtel and told them about the $5 offer, they didn’t try very hard to talk me out of it. It’s worth having a look in the AFL app to see if the offer comes up for you. Presumably the same offer applies for those NRL fans who can no longer use live pass.

    • Thanks for the tip. I'm with Boost, and I just installed the AFL app. I was using mobile data, and it came up with the offer for Kayo $15/month. Happy with that (I didn't have live pass in the past, just happy with the $10 off).

So I believe that anyone who is with Telstra Mobile and uses the "AFL Live Official App" qualifies for the Kayo Sports App $5 p.m for 12 months.
I paid the $5 and it's brilliant. The major bonus for me is you can watch the footy on the TV in full screen, not just on a 7 inch tablet.
It also allows you to have multiple users and 2 people can use the app at any one time.
To find this deal just go through the "AFL Live Official App" try to watch the footy and the offer will pop up.
If you're not with Telstra, find a friend/family/partner who is, offer to pay for the app for one year ($60) and you get access as a user.
They get the app for free, you only pay $5 instead of $25!!

Like the other kayo deal thread, we should all be thinking the liberal government for this. 30million given for female sport to foxtel, just to put a few games in kayo free (netball, soccer ect). Now using it for these "deals"

Waste of taxpayers money, abc media report did a story on it.

Give my money to that tyrant Murdoch? No way. Google acestream F1…

    • +1

      …on a TV?

    • +1

Are there still valid acestreams of sky sports f1?

  • So is the race something you’d have to pay for?

    • Yes and qualy

  • Managed to grab (x3) Promo 2 months Kayo free codes from VB & Carlon Draft cases. Bottle shops chuck them out after they stock the shelves. Enough to get me through from now to 30Aug as that deal needs to be registered by 30Jun21. Excellent $125 saved!
