      There's 20 in the orange one, too. Black one is unspecified. They both look to have all-metal tools, which is nice. The one I got on ebay had a plastic handle, and the metal part was kind of thin, so it actually bent as I put force on it.

          The one with goop in it? Apparently the tyre shops don't like the goop when you next go in for a professional repair or to change tyres as they have to clean up the goop.

      Doesn't matter, I've fixed tyres both with and without glue and they both worked. Also watched a professional fix a tyre before and they didn't use any glue.. The steroids strips are designed to seal

    dont get a digital deflator, a matchstick jammed in valve does job for zero dollars

      That's like saying don't get a car, you can walk there for zero dollars.

      A deflator removes the valve core to deflate quickly and allows you to check pressure at any time during the process. Also much less likely to damage your valves which will leave you with a leak.

        The ARB is definitely better made.

          It probably would be, but I got one of these off ebay and the handles are infinitely better than the plastic ones you get from sca etc. It's diminishing returns beyond that. The ARB one also includes a pressure gauge (buy doesn't look that flash) and a valve tool, but they aren't expensive items, at least not making up a 30 buck difference IMO. It is what I would call a 'nice' set tho

    Does the length of the plugs matter? Orange kit is 100mm, while the black is 200mm

      Not really but you need to fold them over when using them so the 10cm is really 5cm which might make the job more tricky to align and not pull out when retracting the tool

      You can always cut them down, they are inserted doubled over as mentioned but the depth only needs to be about 2.5cm so you could be cheap and cut then in half, but in reality unless you are off-roading this is probably a lifetime supply

          I run over roof screws all the time. Now I just remove and replace with a counter sink screw with a bit of silicone under the head. Plugged a couple with a kit like this. 4 out of 5 worked 100%. Screws are 6/6. No balance issues.

              @subywagon: Not to the point of lowering the tyre pressure, fair point. If you dropped the pressure, they might leak/ lose their seal.
