    As per my previous comments, this is one of the smartest buys you can make. I want to start a movement to ban all Philips Diamond Clean deals from this site as compared to these more superior brushes you could almost consider it a financial crime to buy one.

      definitely is - in terms of the upgraded battery, charging and other features. I think both share a similar motor. Same 42000rpm and 32 intensity levels, but the Elite one now runs so much quieter. The x pro is already really good and underrated, this just steps up the game even more.

      plus, the new colour looks so nice imo

      if anyone wants to see a hands on vid, here's one in Polish

            @skido: Doesn't take much to wipe it clean after every use. Currently using a black diamondclean and the other half has a pink. Looks schmick on the counter.

            Hers is making an awful racket now and mine is starting to get a bit loud too, so ordered a pair anyway, but would have been nice if there was another colour option.

    I heard the touch screen is really sensitive, accidently activates while brushing. How annoying does it get truthfully?

      even if its sensitive, activating the screen while brushing doesn't do anything. You need to press the button to stop before you can do anything else.

    Well I'd rather go with Braun, even it's going to cost double the price. I want good after service, esp. even if this or any other product from Banggood got shipped from Australian warehouse you'd get support asking you to return it to China or wherever.

      fair. For something like personal hygiene products, they wont ask you to return and will most likely just offer a replacement. You can always contact banggood rep on ozbargain if there are any issues

    Just ordered, great timing.
    I am currently still using my Philips Diamond Clean, even if the vibration is diminished due to a design flaw (as claimed by a fellow user on a previous post), because I still have one brush head left. Even at the roughly 50% off rrp I paid for it, I see now that it was overpriced for what it is.

      oral b mid-high range model (around $150 rrp) only offers:

      9900rpm vs 42000rpm on oclean
      2 brushing levels vs 32 intensity levels

      no blind zone detection (doesnt show you a map of your mouth and the areas you missed)
      no interactive led screen
      not smart - cant link with phone and track usage
      doesnt offer customised brushing plans

            @skido: Yeah honestly, its hard to know which study are truly unbiased as it can largely depend on the company funding the study.

            I dont think it necessarily have to do with power. With me, its super important for me that the near the gum line feels completely clean, and for a tooth brush that you're supposed to just hold in place on a tooth for 1-2sec before you move onto the next, it makes sense for me that the head that rotates will clean better than ones that simply moves side to side.

            That said, I haven't tried the side to side ones, so I might take the plunge and give it a go. Hopefully I wont be disappointed.

            edit: I'm no dental expert but I might also add that more power doesn't necessarily mean its better either. If it is too harsh, you risk potentially damaging your tooth's enamel especially in the long term. Again, I might be blowing smoke here so correct me if I'm wrong.

              @buckethat: I have Oral B 3000 from memory. Works very well compared to standard brushing (which I also still do every few days). I suppose one could have one of these and compare but extra bathroom space needed. They will all do a good job as long as time is spend brushing correctly morning and night…….even a non electric brush works fine. Electric just makes it easier.
              As for all the fancy bluetooth stuff and fancy features. Meh!

      Going to be interesting, as I currently use a Oral B iO, had the Oral B 8000, Colgate A1500, SOOCAS X3, Philips Diamondclean and Flexcare+ and Flexcare Platinum…

      Of the counter-oscillation, pretty much anything from the Oral B Pro 2/2000 and up will be comparable to the higher models (other than extra brushing modes). Of the sonic toothbrushes, I found the DC/F+/FP were all fairly comparable (it was all the accessories that differentiated them), and the SOOCAS was pretty good. The Colgate A15000 was way too traumatic to the gums, even with a sensitive head.

      Comparing counter-oscillation to sonic, I feel they both are used differently and can give a good clean. Compared to how so many of my patients are with a manual tb, I don't give a fig which electric tb they get as long as it has a pressure sensor and a reasonably good motor - the marketing for this toothbrush implies it does have an auto adjustment when too much pressure is applied, so now it remains to be seen how effective the toothbrush itself is.

      I'm keen on trying this so I've ordered direct from OClean… the copious amounts of typos though is keeping my expectations low!

        Would love to get an update on what you think of it once you've tried it, I'm assuming you're a dental professional based on your comment.

        Personally going to stick with oscillation, I just cant imagine how sonic would really clean better. I don't have issues with pressure, I think I'm generally good with how I handle my electric tooth brush, I basically just let it rest on my gum/tooth at a 45 degree angle and apply just the slightest amount of pressure.

          So… I actually kind of like it, as a toothbrush. I'd say it's a good choice for anyone who has the room to use this effectively, which means for those patients who still have their wisdom teeth or small mouths or tight cheeks/lips, I'd still be recommending a counter-oscillation - the benefit of a c-o toothbrush is they can sit the brush in position and allow it to brush, whilst sonic brushes like this one still require you to have some space to move it in circles. This also means people who have reduced dexterity (children, elderly) and those with less than ideal technique (here's looking at you, 95% of my patients!) should probably stick with a counter-oscillation if they're not going to take the time to learn how to use the Modified Bass technique. For patients who HATE the feeling of a counter-oscillation, then this is a reasonable compromise.

          For me, I no longer have my wisdom teeth and had extraction orthodontic treatment, so there's plenty of space for me to use this brush. As far as technique goes… um, I'm a dental clinician, I'd better know how to brush my teeth. >_>;

          Pressure settings are ok, I'm yet to bump it up to where it will warn me I'm pressing too hard, but we'll get there.

          The charger does get a bit warm, but the rubber cover comes off and you can charge your Qi enabled device on it, which is cool.

          Unlike the top model in Philips and Oral-B, the travel case is not a charging case (boo!), but the actual charger is so slim it's not a huge deal, aaaand the expected battery life means most people won't need to charge whilst on a normal length trip - if you're travelling that long that you need to charge, I suspect you'll have the baggage space to carry the very slim pad. It has a USB A end, and you are to provide your own AC adapter (probably wise, given the global market).

          Everything is packaged quite slickly, and the travel case does feel quite solid, unlike the case that came with a recent Colgate 500R (given to me as a sample) which was very cheap and plasticky. The brush itself does feel of reasonable heft, less heavy than a Diamondclean and Oral B 9000/iQ/iO, but definitely more than the Colgate 500R. The Oclean X Pro Elite has NOT irritated my gums unlike the 500R or A1500 (and I used the sensitive heads and gentle mode on both of those!).

          The steriliser unfortunately is mounted with some 3M doublesided tape, so I am concerned about retrieval when I no longer want it mounted on my wall/glass. I'll have to look into an alternative. The mount is detachable from the actual device so you can take it down and recharge it, but you still have the mount on your wall. The wall mount for the brush itself is also doublesided tape.

          The English used in the app is… man, they could do better, but I don't know what I expected when I browsed their website.

          The firmware that was on my brush was 1.0.0.26 and there's an available update to .27, which I actually rolled back (possible with the default app).
          The .26 firmware lets you change pressure and duration on the brush itself, and it looks like if you want to do it from the app it's a bit of a hassle in the plan section.

          All in all, I think given the price (sub 100AUD delivered), this is a reasonably worthwhile purchase for those who hate counter-oscillation. I'd still recommend an Oral B 4000 for most of my patients, as it hits a similar price point (currently $99 at several bricks and mortar stores, though I think only ShaverShop includes a travel case), and the heads are easily purchasable (1/2 price happens a fair bit at Colesworth, I'm told).

            I ended up going with the Oral-B 9000 deal for $129 that came on DJ & Amazon a day after this one and I'm glad I did. Upgraded from an older unit with NiMH battery. I can't imagine that the non OC toothbrush would clean as well.. so I think I'll be sticking with Oral B for the foreseeable future.

      As far as I can see it's still a few dollars cheaper on bang good before the additional 5% cash back. Plus I didn't checkout to see how much postage is with Oclean. If it's free poatage then maybe the deal is as good as you get slightly better accessories. Plus if you want to buy more accessories then it could work out better.
