  These work great, very bright. Panel charges battery to full most days and easily lasts through the night.

  It seemed to work well when first unboxing and tested - LEDs are very bright, solar charging worked, motion sensor worked effectively and the 4 modes functioned as described.
  
  However, after leaving it alone for a few hours, it goes into "sleep mode" - even when it was set to turn on automatically when motion is detected. It would not detect motion and did not turn on at all, until I manually pressed the power button and cycled through the modes. After manually turning the light back on, it functioned flawlessly again.
  I still need to manually turn the light on every single night even though the battery never ran out overnight. To me, this totally defeats the purpose of having a solar-powered motion-sensor light.
  
  Not sure if the unit I received was faulty, or if others have experienced the same.

The only way these work in the longterm is if you modify them to run off DC power off a wire. I find these wither and die as the panel uv coating gets yellowed by sun.

These are essentially a waste of plastic.

Get metal DC LED lights and wire them up. I have used $8 ones from ebay and they have lasted 5 years in the rain/sun. No battery changes - set and forget.

how large an area will it light up?
you keep going on about how bright it is. that is not necessarily a good thing.
a very bright light will light a small area and then also make you blind to the surrounding areas.

Got 2 during the last promo, really happy with them. They are very bright with a wide motion area, i run them on half brightness and full when motions is detected. Panel seems to put a good charge in them because even with the rain/floods they were coming on every night.

Opened one up and confirmed there's a replaceable 18650 battery.
