Hi folks, and happy non-denominational-chocolate-gorgefest-21 to you all.

Dedicated 8-core / RTX 3070 gaming PC to kick off April with, with the 3700X and 3070 on the very decent Asus Tuf B550M-Plus motherboard.

Ryzen 7 3700X | RTX 3070 Gaming PC: $2088 after 3700X-3070-APR

  • AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8c/16t processor
  • RTX 3070 8GB graphics card
  • Asus Tuf B550M motherboard - MSI X570-A Pro and Gigabyte Aorus X570 WiFi upgrades available
  • 16GB 3200Mhz RAm (2x8; brand/model may vary)

  • Lance-V RGB ATX 3-fan case

Other deals

  • If you're after the 3600 | 3070 combo it's here at $1888 with a different MB and PSU. We will not be upgrading/partially refunding existing orders to this new deal as the cost structures are different, you will need to repurchase if you want this one and you would re-enter the build queue from the new order date.
  • Zen 3 Gaming/Workstation builds: from $1388 / $1788: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/613231. For a 5800X / 3070 / X570, you're looking at $2487 + delivery
  • RX 6700 XT Desktop Gaming PC with AMD Ryzen R5-3600/B450 Mortar/16GB RAM/2.5" 480GB SSD/650W PSU: $1488

Order updates:
- The last of the Intel 3070 deal systems are in build - we were hoping to get them all shipped this week but the short Easter week means they will be next week. Our apologies again but the deals were incredibly popular, the price was super low and we're going as fast as we can without rushing them.
- 3500X/3060 deal orders have started to ship and a good number are going out today, getting back inside 14 business days next week, shorter week allowing
- 6700 XT deals may start to ship at the end of next week, again shorter week allowing, but if not then the week after. That is purely an order queue thing with the 3070s taking longer than expected to finish off. So the first orders will likely be over 14 business days but they should get back inside again later that week.
- 3080s - as per the last email update, other brands have started to trickle in but we're still waiting on our bulk Galax allocation. If another card brands comes in when you're at the front of the queue and your order contained a Galax, you will be emailed with the option to choose that card or wait for the Galax. We haven't sent a bulk update out because there is no news other than that.

Cheers
Luke

Taking a PCCP $1499 3070 seems like a bit of a rort. Glad I got my pc built last year.

      • Yeah it is high but PCPP is only for comparison, and trying to find one in stock at retail/online lower is hard enough anyway.

    • +2

You listed 2 ssd's in the pcpp list

      • +2

So I did, weird. Thanks, can't edit now but $61 needs to come off that price.

        • There are two drives listed on your site with no option to remove one as part of the build.

    • +1

Luke, the build on the Techfast webpage comes with two Operating system Drives, both SSDs.

      Looks like an Error.

      • Yes I noticed this too, no option to remove one of them either.

      • Yep it was an error as was meant to be an Additional SSD option, it's been rectified, thanks for the heads up.

    • Hey Luke, I would like to know if there is any way to track my order that I have just placed. The operation seems very ambiguous and I am a little concerned. I have sent my money through bank transfer and I have emailed "[email protected]" but I am still uncertain as to what is actually happening with the order. Would love a response, thanks!

  • Looks pretty good, is there an ETA for this one for shipping if the order is placed today?

Towards the back end of April, 4th week onwards

Lol @GPU prices, the graphics card is almost 3/4 of the total system price.

I hope whoever grabs this deal has a better time of getting their order than I have.

Ordered mid Feb, aware that there might be delays with getting the 3070 required for the build. Initially the order page said 14 days (assumed 2 weeks?) which became 14 business days (reasonable with the current delays everywhere). However, it extended quite significantly from there.

Had some communication that indicated the 3070 would be arriving 'over the next week' two weeks ago, but no communication since :(

Weird thing was I also ordered a 3070 alone from PLE at the same time for my uni machine and it turned up (eventually - delays on this too) by March 20th.

My only guess is that TechFast are waiting on specific stock items that they purchased - which is fine - but they should give realistic advice on expected shipping dates (which they have for this one - which is good!)

    • +3

An order from mid Feb, and you haven't received it? Can you please give me an order number so I can look into it? I'm not aware of any 3070s not dispatched, we're into very late Feb and March for those.

      • +9

For anyone following, the order is from 24 Feb and the hold up is on Z490 Wifi motherboards, which is due to the generational shift to Z590 meaning Z490s have been impossible to get and Z590s have only just started arriving We are upgrading all customers at no charge.

  • As per your 3080 comments - what does that mean if I paid the extra to order the MSI 3080?

    • The MSIs are coming in small numbers so when we get to yours in the queue, it will be completed as normal.

      • Hey Luke are you able to specify how many MSI 3080s have come in exactly to date?

        • 15-20 in the last 2 weeks, so they're coming in. We had a few [Pre-Order] card system orders from earlier in the year in place where the GPU was not specified, for which these were allocated.

          • @luketechfast: Great that's a lot more than I was guessing! Have any started being allocated to the late January 3080 builds? I believe customer support said I was within the first 10 MSI systems so I was just curious how close I am to having my order fulfilled.

            Appreciate the transparency btw!

@John Howard: Fingers crossed for next week mate, we get info weekly and anticipating it will be a little messy after easter, but being a new month and quarter as far as NVIDIA manufacturing goes, hopefully some digits start to get extracted for all our sakes!!

              • +1

@luketechfast: Oh wow next week would be amazing (tentative I know) but still better than my early May predictions lol.

Thanks again for the transparency Luke :)

                • @John Howard: I set my expectation for the MSI 3080 by June. Fingers crossed it comes earlier. :)

GOD BLESS ME, THE 3070 ONE I ORDERED AT 27 FEB WILL BE SHIPPED NEXT MONDAY.

As soon as possible from Tuesday rather than Monday due to the Easter Monday holiday, sorry!

Also I'm replaying you at the moment, just got past The One Reborn with a buffed Tonitrus.

      • my bad. I didn't notice next Monday is also in holiday.

  • Hey Luke just wondering if there's any consideration to bringing back the no GPU builds last posted 13/01/2021. I wasn't in the market then for a new PC but am now

Hi all. Would this be suitable for 2K 144hz gaming? I bought two of the Dell S2721DGF in one of the recent sales and am deciding whether I should hold off on getting a 3080 whenever that may be or just getting a 3070 knowing that it can be supplied quicker. A 3090 seems to be a bit too out of the budget right now. Cheers.

    • Just get a 3070 unless you got something to hold you over till covid / shortages are over.

  • Pound for pound which would be "better"? This or https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/612968

Hi Luke/Techfast. Can you please contact me ASAP about my order. I'm beyond mortified.

    • +1

I'll need some details to do so, have you emailed [email protected] or PM me?

      • -2

It won't let me pm you, I had to make an account to comment but my account is too new to pm.

Order TF144762631 - I replied to the sales email with my invoice. It may not have gone to the right place.

        For anybody following this post:

Techfast's complaint resolution has been very impressive. Whilst there were major errors during the course of my order, they've all been adequately addressed and resolved.

Thank you Luke for your time and Callum in customer service has been fantastic to deal with.

Mistakes happen, it's natural, the most important aspect is how you deal with them. Hats off to you guys.

  • Some great tech fast deals recently…

    Newbie Q -

Being relatively new, on the popular games what resolution and Hz can I expect to pull off on this setup/deal versus the cheaper recent ones please guys?.

Also is this what you guys wld classify as upgradable for future? Wld like ideally 3-5yrs out of it (5 really if that's realistic?)

    Thank you!
