[Latitude Pay] iPhone 12 Mini 64GB $1149 + $120 eGift Card C&C /+ Delivery @ The Good Guys

110

Hi all,

Seems like the best deal at the moment for an iphone 12 mini 64gb.

Goodguys offering $120 eGift card which can be claimed after purchase. Combined with latitude pay $50 cashback with $200 spend brings the price down to $1030 (if you value the eGift as cash).

Can bring the price down further if using a CBA card with the $50 cashback when spending $250 (although this is targeted) and using 5% off giftcards although I'm not sure how much of the balance you'd have to put through on gift cards as you have to spend $200 with latitude pay.

Unfortunately I don't think apple products are eligible for cashback with Cashrewards / ShopBack.

Deal ends today.

  • You forgot the price in title - $1199

Don't do it. Only 29 months to the new iPhone Mini 15. You'll regret it.

    • +4

I regret thinking about the 15 when the 22 should be the best ever.

  • Good price op

The mini doesn't have the full camera? Dealbreaker.

    • +1

      It's not a pro model.

      • -2

        Yeah. Missed opportunity/dealbreaker.

    • I think it still has night mode though…

    • It’s probably one of the trade offs needed to accept when dealing with a mini phone.

    • +1

It has the same camera as the regular iPhone 12.

    • yeah they made the pro for people like you

      • Nah if it was for me it'd be a mini pro.

Small phones are great. The only reason I'm considering android->iphone is the camera.

        So, not for me.

64 gigs? Who uses so much memory these days?

    • -1

64 gigs and put your stuff in the clouds

  • +2

64GB storage is an absolute joke!

I would not even be able to restore my iPhone backup onto this device even after trimming my photo library down to less than 5GB.

    • +1

Agreed! It's a joke to think that every iteration they keep introducing more powerful cameras but neglect to increase the storage size. I guess they want their iCloud money and keep you attached to the Apple Brand that way.

It is a scary thought but recent reports that Apple Watch sales have now overtaken the entire watch industry of Switzerland. As you know Swiss watches are world famous for exquisite craftsmanship and precise movements.

It is a scary thought that Apple Watch with underpaid Chinese craftsmanship and digital movements as generic as Casio sells for thousands of dollars with clever marketing and mass factory produced items leaving Generation of Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship out in the cold.

All possible because consumers choose to play the Apple game~ putting value on mass produced factory goods with cheap labour and a markup that would put your highlighter to shame.

It's more likely that traditional mechanical watches are more like jewelry these days. They serve very little purpose other than to look good.
A mechanical movement is actually far less accurate than a "digital movements as generic as Casio"

You know what else Swiss watches are famous for? False Scarcity

      • Sorry but I hate to break it you but are you really comparing an apple etc watch to a high end Swiss watch like a Patek etc. Accuracy is the least of what those buyers are looking for. Arguing the point just makes you look like a peasant.

        • I'm just responding to what paloverde88 said. Quote: "precise movements"

Actually if you read my post properly, I'm explaining the exact thing you said. The buyers who buy those watches will always buy Pateks, APs, VCs etc, but that won't appeal to the masses. Luxury buyers look for status symbols and practicality doesn't matter to them. Whilst most people, "peasants" as you call us, seek practicality for daily use. This is why the Apple watch is so popular. Because most non-luxury people seek different things.

well at least they do have chocolate - a billion dollar industry to fall back on - that Apple will not be able to topple
and private bank accounts so private the FBI cannot access - even for criminal investigation even if your life depended on it - Swiss Legislation

    • For years people have been talking about the end of the Swiss watch industry especially when Seiko developed the Quartz wrist watch. In the end some watches are a work of art like a beautiful Rolex or Omega. Then there’s the peasants with their Apple watches.

The peasants are what makes Apple such a huge success - bet the fanboys don't admit it but they are apple's biatch - and peasants at best
put a Hermes strap around it then suddenly it is classic Coultre

This is a marvel not apple watch mass produced in factories with underpaid staff
