    • Almost none of my Black Friday ShopBack deals tracked automatically last year, had to "investigate".

      i have literally thousands of other successful automatic cashbacks with them, it's just during the upsize events that they mysteriously stop tracking.

      • Mine always get tracked but when it is due for payment 3-4 months later the last 6 transactions haven't gone through on the date expected. I always have to raise a query. Half of them got acknowledged and half didn't, where I had to keep asking for weeks. Always the big ones that they try to deny. In the end I got all my money but I had to work for it, not sure if I want to bother using any of these cashback stores anymore. Don't trust them one bit, especially after the "hacks" and constant denials. Waiting months for your money is not worth the hassle, if it was weeks then it would be more acceptable.

    • Every year their Amazon cash back is the most failed complained deal. They lost me on year 1.

    • I'm 7 weeks into an investigation for pending Cashback from August spend last year… Cashback suck if it doesn't track or move out if pending (which is often).

              They missed boxing day bonuses, among others, thanks for assuming incorrectly it was just one.

              Thanks for the life tips and feedback on how I should utilise my time, my comments on here have no relationship to chasing down a crappy company for a few bucks here and there. I shouldn't have to chase then up every time, it should just work.

              Online Shopback defender is free too it seems.

              Looking at other comments it's clear I'm not alone with tracking issues… +20 on the if it tracks comment so far.

      You might want to check out their new bulletproof armour range on sale. Money back guarantee as well apparently if it doesn't work.

  • This is effectively a scam. Categories shift to ensure that no claims qualify.

    You won't get paid. It will track maybe, or they will manually add it for you, and then a few months later when it should be ready, you check and it says REJECTED. Of course it's too late to chase it up because it's outside of the 30 days that it can be followed up in. It's a scam and all part of the plan.

    Don't buy anything that you weren't already going to buy. If you're only buying it because of the cashback, that is risky.

    • I find cashrewards has much better tracking and less likely to be rejected. At first I used shopback 95% of the time, then cashrewards started having a few better deals so I tried them out and found almost everything is tracked and much more reliable. Now days I use cashrewards 95% of the time.

      • My experience is the opposite. CR has been horrendous and SB much better

        • CR implemented a cashback guarantee since last year, so far they've been good on that promise with me for the rare cases that don't track properly. That's miles ahead of Debra's condescending messages.

        • I have the same problems with tracking on both, but CR is better than SB in that if something goes wrong, instead of it saying REJECTED, they dip into their own funds to honor the expected cashback. I'm not sure how long they will keep that going for, but it's more than SB are doing.

    In December last year, they were also promoting the 10% cashback. I bought something but the cashback never came, even I complained a few times.
