Crazy guy dude. Absolutely mad to think that electric (self driving) cars could be the future….back in 2009.

Now he's doing bitcoin; the currency of the future.

Building crazy tunnels (open source) the roads of the future.

Also terraforming mars, the planet of the future.

Meanwhile Audi is making silly e-trons which can't be charged on the road. You have to run a lead to the internal plug of your petrol station toilet. How will anyone shave without that plug point?

@Naigrabzo: … Crazy guy dude. Absolutely mad to think that electric (self driving) cars could be the future….back in 2009.

Wrong as Ford released the first electric car before Telsa in 1996. There were others prior.

… Now he's doing bitcoin; the currency of the future.

What a laugh. Bitcoin has no chance to bit the Fiat curreny to replace either the USD or AUD.
If you understand the way distributed legders work (which I doubt), Bitcoin can never scale to be a Fiat currency. Bitcoin processes 4.6 transactions per second. Visa does around 1,700 transactions per second. They have not been able to solve the Blockchain scaling issue since its introduction in 2008, but hey people like you can still dream Tulips.

The Tunnels are all debt funded (as everything Elon) and again do not scale. What rubbish you must be reading.

I will bet you the Germans will out work, out smart and beat the Tesla debt business any day of the week.
VW, Audi and Merc are driving forward with Electric in a sustainable and profitable way. However if you truly understand the limitations of batteries and electric cars you will soon come to realise (when your head comes in from the clouds) that the 'near' future will be Hydrogen Electric.

But hey you must be smarter than the highly profitable Toyota (worlds largest car maker) and Hyundai.

            https://www.hyundai.com/au/en/cars/eco/nexo
Wow, ONLY 5 mins to get 590 km travel distance with Hydrogen Electric compared to a lame Telsa of 14 hrs using a L2 Single Phase at home charger. Open your eyes before you blow all your wad on a rapidly depreciating Telsa LEMON

@[Deactivated]: Looks like they don't care about whether you can charge on the road.

I will not be paying $150k for an Audi e-tron (with unknown reliability - It's like an alpha version of software - Audi has 0 experience with electric cars or reliable petrol models which doesn't break down constantly.) when I could get a Tesla Model 3 for $67k AND easily charge on the road. :)

                  YMMV.

                  • @Naigrabzo: You are saying Audi does not know how to make cars compared to Tesla ranked the lowest (bottom!!) in the USA reliability survey. WT ??

Audi is profitable and Telsa is losing money making cars. Would rather buy a car made in Germany than some rubbish made in China.

@[Deactivated]: Audi has no idea how to make good electric cars. They have never made em. Their petrol cars fall apart after a few years.

Audis rate same as Alfa romeo for reliability. Many car experts suggest you buy an actual mechanic to ride with you constantly on Alfa cars because often they can't complete a given a journey.

@[Deactivated]: Not only the Audi-etron car is rubbish. So are their batteries.

                      https://www.hotcars.com/are-audis-reliable-in-2020/

Audi has been around for a long time and they still can't make good cars. Their cars just look good (subjective). I love the R8 for example.

If Audi makes a self driving car, run for your life; whether you are driving it or whether you are on the road.

                      • @Naigrabzo: Any new tech will have some issues and Audi has just joined the EV race. The battery issues are the biggest problem for ALL EV's and hence why the future will by Hydrogen / Electric.

"A Tesla battery pack consists of four modules, and each costs $5K to $7K to replace."

                        4 x $7k - $28k to replace the battery - dumb as sh###

"it must be stated that you do NOT want an out of warranty Tesla. Do whatever you must to buy an extended warranty covering as much of the vehicle as humanly possible! Regular maintenance costs while under warranty are fairly reasonable considering the high-end nature of these vehicles, however, the company currently charges $195.00/hour for labor, and you can't get your Tesla repaired by anyone else. FYI you also must buy genuine parts from Tesla."

"Other horror stories for out of warranty repair costs have included replacing the A/C unit for $5K; the infotainment screen will run you $4K and the gauge cluster screen is another $4K. Outside the car it's $1K to replace an electric door handle and another $1K for each headlight."

                        • @[Deactivated]: These are pretty normal prices for any luxury car. My friend had their Audi headlight bulb (Not the entire headlight) replaced and it cost em $500. $500 for a single light bulb.

4k for infotainment system is cheap!!!

                          Warranty argument. I agree!

Hindsight makes everyone a visionary. That's what most people thought of Nokia previous the worlds number 1 producer of phones….now they are nothing.

The future will be full Battery EV like Tesla vs Hydrogen / Electric (Toyota. Hyundai, …)
