    • Why would you pay $900 to be stabbed and robbed?

        • +15

Congrats. How does that help people looking for a deal on this site?

        • Why did you pay the $900 then? Cut the middle man and do the first part yourself to save the $900?

          • -7

@yfxsmike: Was going to keep it but sold it instead. Went 11 pro to 12 to 12 pro max with $0 out of pocket lol.

    • +2

You got lucky. There are too many scammers on gumtree, 5 years ago I was scammed for $900 buying an sealed in box iPhone on gumtree, even comes with Apple receipt so I trust him, but it was actually a dummy iPhone inside the box. What a nightmare. If you do decide to buy something from gumtree meet in a public and inspect it before handing your cash. Even if the phone is working it might be a fake one so make sure you test the unique features of the phone.

      • Better yet, why not meet in front of the police station? Surely if they are a scammer they would disagree. Easy to weed through the crowd like that

        • They could still sell you a fake iPhone

      • -5

That sucks, i always open while there, check serial before and set up as new with my sim, only takes a few mins, i have bought 50 plus iPhones/ipads off gumtree and no probs, my 12 pro max 256gb i am using now i got for $1500 brand new.

        • How do you verify genuine screen, and seal is still intact?

          • -1

@onlinepred: If you need to ask those questions don't buy off gumtree.

            1. If you check serial no on apple's site you can see if been activated, pretty sure if it hasn't been used/setup it wouldn't have a new screen lol.
            2. Seal wrapping you mean, open it, seal or not if it's brand new it wouldn't of been activated.
            • @[Deactivated]: Right, so you only buy new sealed off gumtree. Yes that’s obvious. I mean used not sealed.

Seems you were lucky getting a good deal, but that doesn’t make it a deal for us. One off purchases really don’t count, and you are just gloating.

              • @onlinepred: why ask then lol
i have bought used too, not a one off, got a 12 pro max 128gb for $1400 a month ago too, sold on ebay.

                • @[Deactivated]: And how did you verify the screen and waterproof seal? Checking serial number doesn't mean anything.

WTF! Do you get some of sort of kick out of bragging about how you scored one deal on Gumtree back in 2020, and you just have to mention it in every single iPhone thread???

      HINT: NO ONE CARES!!!

      This is OzBargain not OzScamtree.

      • -1

2 more this year so far lol
        12 pro max 128 = $1400
        12 pro max 256gb = $1500
you care you are stalking me haha

        • 2 more this year so far lol

Since you cannot really prove what you claim above, your figures are as good as bat sh*t!

you care you are stalking me haha

The information is publicly available. You clearly need to look up the definition of "stalking", and learn to write proper sentences.
Your trolling may be amusing to you but not the rest of us.

Furthermore, I am pointing this out for everyone here that you post the same nonsense in every single iPhone thread ad nauseam even after getting neg bombed by the community.

    Nice deal OP.

  • +1

    Gotta say prefer Two Brothers

  • -3

Not a reliable/trustable retailer, my personal experience

    • +1

atleast explain why? end of the day covered by eBay, credit card & paypal if anything goes wrong

      • +4

I bought a BRAND NEW SEALED iPhone X on eBay, found a fingerprint on the screen, checked the phone, looked OK, not activated, but not sure accessories genuine or not.

I won't trust them no matter how cheap they offer.

Go and search previous post, you will find other people had similar experience.

        • -4

          same seller? otherwise pointless comment

          • +4

@snvl: YES, EXACTLY THE SAME STORE.

            • +1

@Ohz: where is your neg feedback on the seller?

            • +1

@Ohz: Why didn't you leave negative feedback on ebay?

              • @NalB: As I said, the phone looked OK, not activated.

If I gave them a negative, they likely would do the same thing to me.

                • @Ohz:

If I gave them a negative, they likely would do the same thing to me.

                  sellers cannot leave negative feedback

                  • @snvl: I found sellers gave me positive, so I was assuming they could also give negative. Thanks. Good to know.

                    • @Ohz: If you paid for the item, they can't leave negative feedback.

    • +1

Has an eBay 100% positive feedback???

    • Apparently you bought from 3sons and not 3 brothers mobile?

      • NO. It was 3 brothers.

  • Forcing us to buy more than one item to get Afterpay option.

  • +2

Be careful they don't send you overseas stock. I returned mine on the last deal as they sent Japanese stock when they are stating it's AUS stock.

    • What was their explanation of this? That's a bit dodgy.

    • don't send you overseas stock or send you overseas stock?

    • Japanese stock is awful, you cannot silent the camera shutter sound

      • +4

        CHIIIIKAANNNN!!!!

    • +2

Think you’re quoting the Wrong seller, do you mean 3.sons?
      ;
      with the following feedback left:

"STAY AWAY!!! Doggy seller selling Japanese Iphone claiming AU Stock
      Apple iPhone 12 - 64/128/256GB - [6.1"] 5G Unlocked Latest Aus Stock Free Ship"

      • -4

Owned by the same company IIRC

        • +3

rep from 3 brothers here has stated they are not the same company

end of the day each to their own dont trust it dont buy it

  • No afterpay?

  • +3

Why the people that has issues with the seller has not left any negative feedback on eBay? two already on this thread but seller has no neg feedback in the last year.

Thanks for you feedback here but you guys should have sent either neg or neutral feedback to their eBay store

    • +1

Maybe they worked out a deal (eg keep the phone and refund only $200) on the proviso they don’t leave a negative.

      • This is not a fair assessment, your speculation is applicable to every seller on ebay.

    • May be they have mixed up the sellers. According to RogueWolf's comment, looks like they are referring to "3.sons"

  • Any offer on 256gb?

  • Is fastcomm or skyphonez legit? if so which one am I better off buying from?

    • +1

skyphonez is a store on GC, sent me a scratched iPhone once, would avoid. They buy from desperadoes who upgrade contract but need the cash, then on sell.

  • good price - but after a silver pro :(

  • +7

Bought iphone 12 pro from their store website 2 months ago when they had 10% off, not ebay, can confirm the phone is brand new sealed inbox, no fingerprints, not activated, exactly brand new Australian stock with tax invoice. This is ebay plus item so if you are not happy you can return?

    • In other words, it was not inside a white box non demo model not owned by someone else but maybe used as a display model where the plastic wrap got shredded during transit. :)

      • Not sure what you mean by "display" vs "demo" model, but there are a number of ways you can check via model number, serial number, imei, battery health, battery cycle count etc. For sure if you buy from bigger retailors your risk of getting screwed is lower but I heard people buying from Costco received used iphone 12… Also in the past I bought brand new LG V30+ from JB Hifi even without plastic wrap… In this case it is ebay plus item qualified for return and you have paypal protection, and you are buying from 100% positive feedback ebay seller, I can't see any risk that you can't mitigate…

        • I thought you were deliberately trying to address the various complaints raised in the other iPhone 12 deals from another eBay seller, and the inconsistency in responses from the seller. If you weren't, then my comment would've made zero sense.

          • @jace88: I bought from this seller the 3 brothers, not 3 sons. I am aware of a number of people having issue with mobileciti ebay sending white box as brand new.

  • I've purchased a phone from here (iPhone XS). I had no issues with the phone or transaction.

  • They have a 12 pro max 256gb for $300 off, not bad.
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/164565791397?hash=item2650e2b2a5…

    • how to get $300 off ?

  • +1

A deals a deal, as long as it’s cheap and comes with everything and it works as stated on any website, you guys winge way to much.

  • +2

Can vouch for this seller, received my Iphone 12 Pro max 256GB in sealed packaging and was well packed for shipping.
Checked the serial via Apple website and phone hasn't been activated so it's brand new as described.

    • Me too. I have my phone delivered, all wrap in the pristine plastic. All good.

Do you have invoice? how do we prove the purchase date for warranty purpose etc?
