Check your eBay Inbox, seems to come out once a month on the 28th, most likely if you have not sold anything for a while.

    • Ah yeah, had the promotion the last 2 weeks and used it to sell a lot of items, maybe they aren't giving it to me again even though I've been targeted for this deal the last few months. How odd :(

      • Same situation for me. Been able to use the link the past couple months but now shows up as "Unfortunately, you can no longer sign up for this promotional offer because it has expired." Hopefully we get another offer replacement soon.

    • Would it be possible for you to send the link to the promotion again? Just to double check whether the promo code had changed or not? Thanks so much in advance!

      • Won't let me post the link from the promo email for some reason.

It worked for me. Thanks so much!

Thanks dins, that one worked perfectly again and runs for quite a while.

  • I was charged the full FVF and I'm now having serious issues trying to get eBay to give a refund. They keep saying they have no record of this offer being activated in my account. I have no way of proving that it was as I didn't take a screenshot after activation (my bad) and their offers don't have dates on them.

To those who were successful in getting a refund, how did you do it?

Lesson learnt though - take screenshots of everything or sell somewhere else. What a rigmarole.

    • Did you at least have the 10% voucher promo activated? If so I was told that will override any other promos.

If you don't have a screenshot check your eBay messages for the promo email. If you have that then you might be able to make a case.

Always take screenshots of eBay promos after activating them. Also make sure the screenshot captures your feedback or user ID etc so they can't claim that it's not legit.

Since accepting managed payments I have had to email them the screenshots pretty much everytime to get fees refunded because the promos never work and they tend to magically disappear completely from promo history once the promo period ends.

    • I have the same issue being charged FVF ever since they moved to managed payment, using the Gumtree 2 ads a month offer. Total crap system. Asking eBay support dragged on for weeks without resolving….they kept saying they are looking into it… I'd bet they are profiting on some people not noticing it or giving up chasing.

      • Yeah they are just changing things as they go along. Now for instance those who have activated the 10% voucher promo will not get the no fee and/or $1 fee promos honoured. Also there's no way to deactivate the 10% voucher promo either even from their end.

This promo has been superseded by a new promo with the same name: https://www.rsvp.ebay.com.au/rsvp/signup/1003043/O2uP8oEkNiY

The difference is the new one lasts for just under 4 weeks. The previous one was better as it ended and got resent every two weeks, if my memory serves correct.

I, too, have been having full fees charged and support claims it's because the 10% voucher promo overrides it. Fingers crossed this promo works properly after the voucher promo ends tonight.

    • Damn, just clicking that link activated the offer immediately…

Ah well, wouldn't have known about it if you didn't post so thanks. Haven't had one of these offers for quite a while, just been using the Gumtree free 2 listings a month (which has been charging me the full FVF since I moved to managed payments recently, gotta try to get eBay to manually credit me back the fees).

    • thank you so much for that, works fine, I had to transfer to managed payments and bizarrely hadn't go any promos for a while. screenshotted offer being applied just in case
