I wonder what's inside if shucked. Ironwolf pro or Exo?

    • This would likely be an Exos 14TB HDD.

      • Thanks. Hope so, I took 2 and see how they go.

Link is showing $537.40? Can't see Amazon UK seller. Or I must need to sleep now…

  • n/a

  • Looks like it's out of stock and Amazon AU took over?

    This is my order:

    • Was that in AUD or USA or POUNDS as UK? Also wonder if AUD did they have limited stock? As hard barely anytime to think about it…

      • AUD, from Amazon AU. Didn't say limited stock and I did keep refreshing before posting this, must've been at the right place at the right time?

        • could be, its convenient to have that amount in one unit

@Perthsucks: Well if you look at the middle bottom of the page. NOW

It says "New (4) from $374.67" from Amazon UK

You might be able to add it to cart

Edit: I've updated the imgur screenshots, see pic

            • @moorey: damn it i can see it but it wont add to cart!!! can you pm me

              • +1

@Perthsucks: Mate I'm heading to bed lol

But my understanding is, in situations like this the stocks are being added on the back end slowly. Seems to be to prevent scalping? Keep refreshing later it might / should add to cart. Good luck!

@Perthsucks: Damn it New (3) it went but when i saw it New (4) and clicked add to cart it disappeared

                • @Perthsucks: Sorry mate, think that was me. I've snagged one at 0232 AEST being delivered 11 May.

                  • @[Deactivated]: Oh I see ! Good you kept refreshing and monitoring it then, what made you keep monitoring to see if any change ?

                    • @Perthsucks: Nothing. Definitely wasnt monitoring it, just clicked on the link again a few mins after first checking to double check that I didn't miss anything seeing as I'm lying in bed half asleep.

Ahh (profanity) just missed it. That'll teach me to sleep instead of monitoring ozb.

Edit: Woohoo got one for $374. It said it was the last one though.

  • Keep an eye out for HD prices possibly starting to rise at some stage.

Gamers Nexus had a recent HW news video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_8ovOjhN1Q that showed a new storage based cryptocurrency called Chia, which could increase prices of SSD/HDD prices.
If it catches on large HDD prices could rise if there are shortages.

    • Not representative I hope, but kinda funny:

That's been my go to deal on high-capacity drives for a long while. Price still alright on Amazon US although it's generally priced higher there than the UK store.

      they have already started
i keep a bit of an eye on https://diskprices.com/?locale=au&condition=new&disk_types=e…

i was starting to see 12 and 14tb drives creep close to $25/TB but they are now at least $28

    • Prices have risen, prices will absolutely fall in a few weeks.

The volume of hard drives produced has to dwarf any demand caused by Chia even medium term. I don't think it'll be another RTX 3series situation.

  • So these have a power supply with a UK plug. Has anyone had success with asking WD for an AU replacement?

    • Can confirm, I recall you just use the Contact page after registering your serial & they'll send one (or more) out for free. Done this a couple of times with no issues.

Western Digital might tell you where to go considering it's a Seagate. I bought a Seagate external HDD a year or two ago (not this model) from NewEgg and it came with all the various country adapters that slide on to the plug pack.

  • Its BACK !!!

@Moorey A big thank you to Moorey. Seems they are listing them very slowing one at a time. Got one today just one popped up yea! Also how do you tag other properly in posts ? The @ isnt working and i cant find a way to enable beta features

  • Not sure if I should create a new DEAL or not.

Currently $us250 + $29.51 delivery + GST at B&H Photo. Comes to $au399 delivered with fee-free Mastercard. Reduced from $us285.

    Delivery 1-2 weeks.

More exp. than the Amazon DEAL by a few $$ but is in stock.

  • Arrived today and I'm pissed. It was placed in a paper bag with zero padding. Clown fiesta.

    • Mine today too. Not my first from Amazon UK and it was the same 🤷🏻
