  • Is this still relevant, especially in Sydney?

    • +3

Yeah, I used it last night and saved over $50. Still useful but it was better years ago.

Worth getting one for a trip to the Gold Coast?

    • If you plan on eating out sure! Theme Park offers are similar to ones available to motoring clubs, health fund members ect.

  • Anyone know how having multiple Entertainment Book memberships work? Mine doesn't expire for 6 months but if I bought now presumably I would have new offers for the ones I have already used and two for those I havent?

    • Yes, they stack. It's worth mentioning that you get 4% on Woolworths eGift cards through this, which is 1% higher than most of the other remaining options out there.

      • +1

But I think they charge a credit card fee.

        • +1

          Not for Woolworths egc

      • You can get 4% off Woolies Gift Cards if you are a Woolies Insurance member.

I'm normally a lurker but had to comment after seeing this. I've had a membership with Entertainment for years now, from back when they had book vouchers. This last year has been a very disappointing experience.

Be warned that the app was recently updated and it's nearly unusable, even after recent fixes. It's painful to find venues on the app, but also I've had issues with venues not recognizing the new layout and not accepting vouchers. Others in my family have reported redeeming offers and not having any way to actually use the deals (no redemption/coupon code provided).

You can see the tsunami of dreadful reviews on the app store page. This offer is probably happening because users are leaving the membership in droves.

How about the Apple app? Same issues?

      • +2

        Yes.

This is what happens when you do zero user-centred design or end-user testing.

Thanks for the feedback… was going to purchase until I saw your comment and did a quick Google.

    • tbh, it's still good value (for me anyway) with the woolies egc alone. i'm one of the first to wrote a complaint to them about the new app design but so far I haven't come across any deal breaking moments where vouchers couldn't be redeemed. i'd still consider it as it still has some value and you'll be supporting the charity of your choice.

What’s the Activity Offers like in New Zealand? Anything descent for Rotorua, Queenstown or Auckland? Is there a list of Restaurants available to see prior to buying?

  • +1

I m struggling to browse the list of restaurants that are participating this year. The website browse function is literally unusable and from current reviews, the app is just as bad. Does anyone have a list of participating Melbourne restaurants? Even a list 10 good Melbounre dining deals will be appreciated…

    • If you call their customer service line they could probably tell you.

  • not useful in WA.

  • I’ll be taking my family l to Sydney during the next school holidays for 10 days. What are some common places I could save on through this? Will I be able to save $70?

    • +1

We saved around $50 just from the Sydney sky tower the only issue was you need to book it online.

      • But what about the 4 attraction pass?

  • Good find OP, bizarrely they didn't email about this one …

  • +2

Still cut at them for no extension or bonus during COVID lock down last year

    • Yep. I used maybe two vouchers before it expired. Really annoyed.

  • +1

A lot of companies aren’t updated as well.
New owners can then down your voucher. Have been caught out a few times

    • Worth asking before booking

  • Can you use this app across multiple mobile phones? ie share the account?

    • You can definitely use it on at least two devices, not sure about more than that.

      • You can have it on four devices.- if you have any problems, give them a call and they can add the extras. Sometimes you can have trouble when a family member has updated their phone so they old one is still listed.

  • Can we book online with this or is it on-site only ? I just tried to book Hobart cruise online after redeeming offer and it says code invalid

  • +2

Not worth the hassle and waste of time on their terrible new app. I’d rather pay extra at restaurants etc. Better than buying this, not being able to access the deal and receive zero customer support, and have to pay the same amount anyway.

Can you get the free upgrade to multi city if you use the kfc partnership site? This would make it $55 for the multi city

    • +1

No, it is not but no mention in the terms and conditions

  • If anyone has the Melbourne entertainment book and has not used the Steer Dining Room deal and is willing to sell a once off use, I'd be happy to pay. Please DM.

  • Ordered but did not receive the email with the activation code

    • PM me if you like and I'll contact an account manager for you. Make sure you include the email address. Or contact the group you purchased from.
