    • Assuming you ordered online, you can call them on 1300 362 603 and choose option 9 then option 4 to get through to the online sales team. Give them the order number and they'll initiate the return process. You'll get an email saying return has been initiated, then should get another email within 24 hours with the pre-paid postage label to print.

      I got one today. Had to try three times to get it. First time was told it had ended yesterday. Tried again, but had connection issues. Tried again and third time lucky. Got working code. Waiting for the $50 code to come through before I pull the trigger.

    Sign-up for newsletter. Wait wait wait wait nothing. I signed up with many email addresses including outlook, guerillamail and temp-mail. Nothing. Emailed [email protected] - "Hi. I'm ready to order my S21 Ultra but waiting for the $50 newsletter voucher I applied for last week. Could you help me so I can put the order through now?" Reply 22 hours later an email reply from eCommerce Operations Team: "Dear xx, Samsung Australia has received notice that you have yet to receive the requested $50 Marketing Opt-In Voucher Code to be used on purchases of over $350 on the Samsung Online Store. It appears that you have successfully registered, however, your email provider may have blocked emails from our promotional account.     Download app on Samsung S7. Yes, you need the phone. Yes, it needs to work. Yes, it must pass all tests (including if they ask if the screen is broken. Finish the tests and you'll get the code.         I have tried 3 different ones but my line was there's a pink line down my screen (a common issue with s7 edge) but all denied the voucher. "Jade" seems like the agent I get too often.

    • if you are getting an ultra or a higher end model then yes

      You can actually swap the phone once a year regardless of if its scratched, damaged or broken for a new one (but you need to have it, I believe so cannot be lost)

      Note there is a small fee to do the swap but its tiny

    Phone was already $150 off regular price of $1249
    + Trade up of $155
    +Trade up bonus $400
    +Loyalty voucher $200
    (I'm aware I didn't use the $50 sign up bonus)

    Next is to trade in my Mrs' Note9.

    Also something to note is the $400 trade up bonus doesn't apply to the Education Store pricing.

    So I have just sold my S20FE for $500 which I got for $594 from last year's JB ETC deal, then I used my old cracked screen s8 as trade in for$35 and manage to get a base model s21 for$414 ($1099-$35-$400-$200-$50). Adding back the $35 I will pay back eventually, I have made a $51 profit to change from S20FE to S21, this is ridiculous.

      • Believe this has been mentioned many times, only the trade in price will be charged if not returning the trade in device.

    • On the Trade In app it describes "charges will be made if the device does not meet the APP status".

      I think the value of the device is considered to be 0 and bonus is kept.

        becareful, that's not Samsung saying that, It's the 3rd party that does the trades and onsells the old phones. You want the guarantee from Samsung that they won't want their $400 back

        • Why trade thru Asurion? What is wrong with trading thru a different 3rd party eg from ebay. This meets your obligation with Samsung.

          • @rifter: People are intending on selling via other means or keeping their phone, but the $400 bonus is from Samsung for selling through Asurion.
            Prices are not reasonable for older phone trades, but are better for more recent models

            • @bobvegas: There is no Samsung requirement for the trade to be with Asurion. The Samsung t&cs provide for those that do not send to Asurion with the Trade in discount being repaid to Asurion. The Samsung Trade up bonus is not the Tradein discount, check this thru your order progress details and sale receipt.

  • Anyone else getting the "Sorry, due to an error, trade-in service is unavailable at the moment" message?

    • I just purchased a phone using the trade-in service. The error message popped up when I started keying the code in but disappeared once the full code was in.

    Has anyone actually gone through the process from the last deal, received the phone and been charged what the value of the phone (eg $70 for the old phone)

      Several have been charged the Trade in discount. Have not heard of anyone being charged the Trade up bonus yet (apart from one discredited ozbargainer very early on). Early days still.

      When you generate the trade-in code, you give credit card details to the trade-in company, and agree to be billed the $35/whatever if you do not send the phone or if it is broken.

      You have a separate contract with Samsung, which has a fixed price and says nothing about what happens when you don't send old phone.

      IANAL, but it looks solid to me.
