I found this while considering the Redmi 9 deal
Decided to spend the extra for better performance.

      Agreed, although I have the 128gb version.

      I did however notice when taking a picture I can't get it to focus the whole image, it seams the outer edges are always blurred

        That's odd, I haven't noticed that on mine (also 128gb, from Amazon).

        Are you using the default camera app?

            @DannyBoy: Strange, must be something to do with the way it focuses in the app.

            I'm having a look through my photos now and wider shots are fine, but yeah ones with a more "central" focus seem to be a bit blurry on the edges.

            Nothing too noticeable though for a majority of pics from what I've found.

              @mangobango: Yeah exactly, the larger shots are great but no good when you take a closer photo. I notice it the most when I'm taking pictures to list stuff on the net

        check if there is some bokeh setting you can adjust in the camera app or possibly you are using a portrait mode instead of photo mode

        Still have a Mi 9T Pro, and at the Brisbane Botanica light show, tried the stock Xiaomi app v a (pretty old) GCam port. The GCam trounced the factory one, especially skin tones and low light aka "night sight" photography.

        This one for the Poco X3 seems to get some love on XDA

        The default camera very aggressively uses faux depth of field in all its phots. Very annoying. GCam somewhat alleviates that, but ultimately the Sony sensors used in all three cameras are very much entry level.

        Not withstanding that I have no complaints about the phone.

        It's not bad, it takes some good shots in good lighting, lower lighting is still passable. Not winning any awards, but you get decent shots.

        Especially at this price though you'd be hard pressed to find a better camera.

        My fiancee is a photo nut, obviously it's not as good as her P30 Pro, but she was impressed with the X3's camera.

          I worked out when it's on 9:16 picture ratio it blurs but on 3:4 its clear all round up close.

      Yeah for an extra $40 the Pro would be a better option (plus shipping is only like $5 anyway).

          Depends on your needs really, 8/256 will work out to around ~$330, which is what I paid for my regular X3 6/128 (but that has the amazon warranty etc).

          I'd say it's still outstanding value if you want to drop a bit extra, but I've found 6/128 to be plenty for my needs.

          It's enough to play games and browse around like you normally would, never really had a moment where I wish I had more ram or anything.

            Regular X3 or the X3 Pro with 6/128? Think there was a recent deal for the Pro for around that price on Amazon UK. My right shoulder tells me it's worth paying for Amazon warranty. The left tells me to go for performance (or save the money).

              @chaliban: Yeah just checked Amazon now, $336 for the 6/128 X3 Pro.

              I'd honestly grab that one, unless you're an EXTREMELY heavy user, I don't think you'll notice much between 6gb and 8gb of ram.

              Plus piece of mind 2 year warranty :)

              Can also always pick up a cheap SD card if you want to add more storage down the line, but I've found 128gb to be plenty.

    Anyone know what the difference between the EU version and other area version is? I've been looking at these on Amazon as they come with 2 years warranty but wasn't sure if the EU version works here.

      That's the one I have, 128GB from Amazon.

      Works like a charm, only thing that doesn't work is VoLTE and VoWiFi sadly.

        VoLTE works*, there are instructions somewhere.

          I've tried the instructions when I got my phone (dialler code/enabling all the settings) but it never activated for me during phone calls, even though the settings are all on.

          Worked fine on my Oppo A52 when I had that though without any tinkering.

          Not sure if there's a new method now though, haven't checked for around 6 months since I got the phone.

          EDIT: Just saw your edit now, it's possible. I think I recall some people saying it worked with Optus? I'm on Boost.

          Doesn't work for me unfortunately, I tried changing the APN stuff and no luck, and that dialler code to access the modem settings doesn't do anything, maybe because I'm still on Android 10, and this thread is for A11?

      Not really sure but my guess is it's just the wall plug that's different.
      As far as I can tell there aren't different regional versions of this phone. Just the 64gb/128gb variants.
