Popped up on my Facebook feed… looks like a pretty decent deal, with no lock in contract.

Includes unlimited National calls & texts plus free 100 mins International Calls to selected countries.

Have had a look at the reviews, porting seems slow (approx. a week).

Activate by 31/5/2021.

I'm using e.tel and yes, the porting in is incredibly slow and a pain in the butt to deal with.

But if you can bear that process and waiting time to get a cheap service, I think it's a worthwhile endeavor.

    (I ported in for the $10 for 10 months 7GB promo - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/571497)

  • In before the haters - MMS on this plan is $0.20 but common, who sends MMS these days? All the rage back in the early 00s when I was back in high school - AMIRIGHT!??!

I'm still on this amazing Etel deal $11p/m for 11 months - $0.75 per MMS but they give you a bonus credit amount of $19.95 per month to use on MMS, international calls etc.

EDIT - And yes, I voted postive. The MMS crappola is just based on the never ending stream of bs when I posted that deal I linked to.

EDIT - Just before someone tries to use the invalid long SMS being turned into a MMS argument again…

Modern networks and protocols use concatenation which negates the need to send long SMSs as a MMS. SMS character limit is 160 but with concatenation a message longer than this can be divided into up to 10 parts giving you a ~1600 character limit.

    • I send MMs as picture over chat. Seems to be really useful features especially I only need someone number to do so.

Oh, no. This company drove me crazy last December. Go for these plans if you can wait for more than 3 months for porting. I waited 2 and half months to complete the transferring process and finally, I gave up by canceling. Not recommending.

    • I’m hoping they’ve improved since then!!!

      • I hope so… I was silly at that time because my 65$ contract supposed to end on 1st of Jan last year so without checking I registered with eTel something like the first week of Dec. Anyway I ended up paying 2 X 65$ because of this transferring delay.
